Bunch of pansies! If we had these kind of people running around during WW2, we’d be speaking German and Japanese today! Everything is offensive nowadays!
Our family has ridden the Pirates ride numerous time since 1989 and have never felt it to be offensive. Seems to me that, if you find it offensive, DON’T RIDE IT!
That’s exactly what I was going to say!! If it’s offensive to you, don’t ride it!! **Especially** if you think it may offend you. And if you *still* go on it, it does,
that is on *you*, not Disney.
I’m tired of these fools who are ‘offended’ by apparently everything. Like another commenter said, no one is forcing you to ride POTC (or any other ride!). If you’re worried about being offended you don’t have to ride. But stop trying to ruin the experience for everyone else.
Disney is really run by a bunch of idiots. These complaints come from less than 15% of the people. If 85% of the people are not offended, why don’t we get to say what needs to be done? To me, POTC, is getting to be a little bland. And taking ‘liverlips’ singing ‘blood on the saddle’ in the Country Bear Jamboree has removed one of the funniest aspects of the show. I won’t go see it again. Keep it up, Disney, and soon you’ll have a park that ‘used’ to be entertaining, but is no longer worth visiting. Been coming to the park since it opened in 1971, and a passholder for many years. We’ve downgraded to the cheapest pass because it is no longer worth paying those high prices.
