We attended the first MNSSHP and believe those tickets were priced at just $59 in 1985. Years passed and ticket prices rose dramatically. After attending a few dozen MNSSHP’s we were getting older and even though we dressed in costume the spooky magic of days past has disappeared with each passing party. 2024 party was bland waiting in extreme long lines for character greetings and Trick or Treating through MK only getting a half bag of treats compared to years past. Overlays are mentioned but other than decorations on Main Street are missing from the rest of the park. For the price we pay they are draining our funds without offering the beautiful atmosphere of the parties gone by. Parades are truncated with fewer cast members and unless you are viewing the fireworks from the ice cream shop forward you miss what magic is still present.
The MNSSHP is not worth the inflated price and we ARE dieheart Disney fans. Ditto for MVMCP!

I did the Halloween party for the first time last year and it was fantastic. Can’t wait to do it again.

The first Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party started in 1995, not 1985
