Well, it is beginning. The parks are reaching capacity before sun up. What does that mean? Well, the ‘fifth gate’ that has been talked about for several years and has been vetoed by the CEO appears to becoming a needed requirement. Why spend good money on refurbishing a park when there isn’t enough room for those that want to enter can do so? “It’s about crowd control’ goes the saying. Well, if you want to rearrange the deck chairs on the Titanic, have at it. Instead of alienating the loyal fan base by replacing iconic items, why not create the ‘new’ items in a new park? It will cost as much money and the benefits are much greater. AS an example, you will have jobs for those you are now letting go due to ‘over staffing’. You will have more room to put the same crowds that are clamoring to enter the parks now. You will even have MORE room so you don’t have to close a park due to over crowding. Does that make sense? OF COURSE IT DOES, that’s why we don’t want to do it!
And what about housing for cast members? Disney has plenty of property that they could develop. But, no, they let the surrounding communities decide what, when and where to do this. Does this help the Disney cast members? NO! The developments that were to be ‘low cost housing’ has consistently been put off by local communities because they don’t pay a lot of taxes compared to other types of development. DISNEY GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER! BUILD HOUSING FOR YOUR EMPLOYEES! You want a stable and loyal employee base, prove it!
