A Disneyland Resort guest recently shared a video of Donald Duck reacting to a Disney Park guest walking into the route of the moving Paint the Night parade to return a costume piece that had fallen off. A Disney cast member rushed to intercept the guest and return the item to Donald Duck.

On May 18, Instagram user @itsdarthavengers shared this video of Donald Duck sitting atop his glowing float during the Paint the Night parade at Disneyland Park. Shortly before the Disney Park guest began filming, Donald Duck dropped his wand.

In the video, a woman wearing Minnie Mouse ears runs into the street to pick up the wand. She starts running up to the parade vehicle when a Disney cast member stops her and takes the wand, eventually returning it to Donald. The character shakes his head and points at the guest in frustration, waving her off before continuing to perform.

In the comments, another Disney Park guest claimed that Donald Duck was directing his anger at the cast member who stopped the guest from returning his wand, even though it was unsafe for her to walk in front of a moving parade.

“Actually, I was on the other side when Donald dropped his paintbrush,” @peruvian_bliss explained. “The guest was the first to grab it to return it to him, but a cast member intercepted it and went around to give it back. Donald’s reaction was directed at the cast member. You can see the guest already walking away, and after that, Donald gets upset at the cast member. Following the interaction, the cast member explained to the guest that it had to be done that way for security reasons—which makes sense. Imagine if she had been run over?”

This is already the second wardrobe malfunction during Disneyland Park’s Paint the Night parade, which returned to Southern California on May 16. Disneyland Resort revived the beloved nighttime parade as part of the Disneyland70 celebrations. Days after the parade debuted, Tinker Bell also dropped her wand in a video that went viral online.
