Just took my family, 4 adults, one child in December 2024. We bought the meal plan plus most ticket upgrades. I’m DVC so our rooms were covered. Everything was so expensive and to Ride the good rides you had no other choice but to pay the extra fees. I used to travel from Texas several times a year to go to WDW but since Texans can no longer get an annual pass this make WDW unaffordable.
Paying for flights along with buying tickets even if I go by myself is no long reasonable. This needs to change and change quickly.
You buy into DVC and then complain you can’t afford things, sounds about right. Bet you are the same type of person that complains that they can’t afford food but then buys the latest iPhone.
I have always advocated for the value and experience of the product, in the past few years I have been disappointed in the decisions made. As a former travel agent and a former cast member I have begun to question how much more we can take before it’s impossible for middle class families to make a trip. I was so proud when we introduced Fast Pass that unlike Universal we were not charging and everyone had a fair shot at this perk. Then Genie came and suddit was fair anymore. Only those with disposable funds in add to the money already paid could take advantage of shorter wait times. Now with Lightening Lanes not only does it require extra funds it is now incredibly expensive!! I feel it is absolutely not about being affordable but rather about affording the absolute most money to the shareholders. The admin has decided that base rates and nickle and dime add one is the best way to achieve that.
I just priced out our annual November trip to Disneyworld.
For the same room at the same resort; for the same week; for the same number and type of park tickets as 2024.; this year is 18% higher !!! Where is this “magical” savings?
or is Disney just trying to blow pixie dust up my *ss
No one cares about your vacation. Bet it’s not even real you are just trying to post something on a website just to get people to agree with you so you feel better about your life. Sad.
Ask yourself if “Affordability” is paying Bob Igor a 41.1 million dollar salary every year. Yes, this has been fact checked. No one is worth this and theres plenty of super talented individuals who would gladly do the job for MUCH less. The outragous ticket prices, food prices and merchandise prices helps Igor with his lavish life style while the rest of us wait in long lines.
Unfortunately it is what it is ,we may think that every thing should be cheaper, but it’s never going back to the good ol’ days of cheaper entry and free fast passes,we have a choice not a right to go to Disney world, sad but true
Comments for Disney Claims ‘Affordability’ Is a Top Priority Just Days After Huge Price Increase
Where is the affordability? Everytime you turn around Disney is jacking up prices. When they did offer a deal it was canceled ie free dining.
