Lilo and Stitch 2002: Ohana means family. Family means nobody gets left behind.
Lilo and Stitch 2025: Ohana means family. Family means give your family to someone else and while the government pays for them you run off and do your own thing.
Dear audience, if you’re going to keep complaining about these remakes then stop trusting Disney and flocking to the theater like the weak little sheep you are and watching them.
I knew in advance this Lilo and Stitch remake was going to be just as left-wing and screwed up like the others so I used my brain and willpower and didn’t watch it.
Except most of us are NOT complaining. And what’s “left wing” about this movie? Someone going to college for an education and a degree to better her life? You’d rather her stay home, struggle to live, and collect welfare?
2025: Ohana means family can be a burden when you want to be independent so let the government and/or non-family members take care of the little sister who not only lost her parents but watched her big sister leave her to just to be Little Miss Career Woman.
People need to get over yourselves! Lilo told her sister to go, she knew her sisters dream, and once she had her degree she can provide for her Ohana. I guess you prefer she stay home, loose her sister to the system and Nana is left waiting tables and teaching surf lessons until she can rebuild a home for Lilo, and then Stitch is gone! The original movie wasn’t even close to what happens in real life! Besides the neighbor was always on their side and almost Ohana to them. Stop going to Disney movies if all you’re going to do is ridicule something because it’s different. It has nothing to do with right or left wing or woke, it’s life look around and tell me you keep everything the same and never make changes! Must be nice to have a perfect life and not see what is real world!!
i love the live action Lilo and Stitch, but i think it wasn’t translated well enough, and neither did the ending.
i grew up in Hawaii, and we all had our blood family “ohana” , but we also had our the people who loved us, they were also “ohana” . We called the elderly “tutu” (grandma and grandpa) , older women were “auntie”, older men “uncle”. This showed the sign of respect.
And everyone was like family, when we played in outside, all the neighbors looked out for us. We’d get scolded by a neighbor, our parents were grateful.
The ending, some people don’t like it because Nani was going to college in the mainland.
But she left Lilo in good hands with tutu. Because in her heart, she treated Lilo like a grandmother would, with love and caring. Nani understood that she wasn’t putting Lilo in the system, but leaving her with family “ohana”.
i hope everyone can no enjoy the movie knowing that this is about love and family. We are Ohana.
Aloha and mahalo (love and thank you)

You forgot to include the part where Nani has the portal and can come back at anytime.
