  1. Personally, I would have far preferred to see a new live action reboot rather than the Last Ronin on the big screen. I find the thought of iconic characters I’ve loved since childhood being brutally and tragically killed so depressing that I worked actually rather see the third Bay movie get made instead.

Until they fix the way the turtles look, they will never come close to reigniting turtle mania. They are either too poorly done, or too intense. The original series, and the original movies had the right look/feel. I have been disenfranchised with it all ever since the whole animated reboot where Shredder was actually an alien brain like Kang. Go back to basics and build off of what works. Stop reinventing the wheel.

I could have loved another Bay film! I loved watching them and still do! I’m not really interested in The Last Ronin. I don’t want to see my favorite hero’s die like that! It just ruins the nostalgia. Anyway, I am excited for the new TMNT series and the Mutant Mayhem movie!

Actually, I’m quite excited for “TMNT: The Last Ronin”; whether that translates into a live-action film and/or a video game — it matters not.

I read the five-part limit series a couple years ago, and was both impressed and saddened by it, because of how emotional and tragic it was.
But, for me, that’s a good thing, because it struck a cord with me.

For those of you who never read the original Mirage Studios comics, apparently don’t realize or understand how the 1987 “TMNT” animated series took way too many liberties with the source material, anyhow.

So, as a longtime fan of the Mirage Studios comics, I found the ’87 cartoon to be a bit insulting to older or established fans.

I’m sorry, but the “original” Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles were never really meant for children, anyway.

Honestly, the 2003 “TMNT” animated series, while not necessarily perfect, was more respectful or faithful to the dark & gritty source material (at least in spirit).

    But, I digress.

Also, I’m probably in the minority on this one, but the Michael Bay-produced “TMNT” film-abominations never should have seen the light of day (IMMHO).

  5. Personally, I think the latest Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series was very good and I think you should not reboot. You should continue the story and then reboot but I really think it was a good movie.

The follow-up to “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem” from director Jeff Rowe and produced by Point Grey Pictures will hit theaters on Oct. 9, 2026.
