Is that all you ever say?

I would never go into debt to go to Disney. It’s not like you can’t make payments on your vacation. I don’t think I’d ever go into debt for any vacation or put it on a credit card where it ends up costing at least double the price due to interest.

I have been going to Disney World since October 1971. When I got married my wife and I continued to go and have been well over 500 times. The last few years we’ve been annual pass holders. Our passes will expire the end of May. My home is covered in Disney memorabilia including vintage Disney wallpaper in my hall bath and a MM shaped garden in my front yard. All that being said, this year we’re done. The price of tickets, resorts, and food has finally exceeded our limits. I can’t enjoy myself any longer constantly thinking about the cost. Disney would have to look hard to find a bigger fan but everyone has their limit. We will miss it but when we went to Hawaii two year’s ago for less than the cost of a week at Disney World that was the beginning of the end for us.

I call BS on your story if you say Hawaii for less than Disney unless when you go to Disney you choose to get the most expensive room, experiences, dinners etc….and then is the kind of person who complains about it.

I believe him. Look up air fair and meals hotels etc. especially if with travel agency or travel group. It’s cheaper if you know what you’re doing.

Yes exactly what I was thinking, I never pay for anything except value resorts, and no park hopping, and no more than a 1 or 2 day ticket for 2 adults, and budget airlines for flying, and rental car with corporate discount through work at a total of $175 for 5 days, so it’s a $1,000 or less so if someone really loves Disney, they would give up the luxuries, and still go and still enjoy it, just cheaper.

It’s awful how people will go into debt just to have fun. They will lose a lot of people. It was already dying down when we went last month. So sad.

thndisney can continue to increase their prices, but with universl studios adding on a new park”EPIC” which looks amazing, I think more people will give up their disney. vacation for a univeral vacation. They are offering better package deals than disney and alot of disney attractions need updating. They spend more money on their international parks than they do here

I agree 100%. I love Disney and am a DVC member but hard to justify the cost. I went to Epic last week and even with some rides and experiences still under construction Disney better watch out!! More rides and better pricing. They’ve got real competition. Now if you have annual passes id say anytime after 5/22 would be a good time to hit Disney, lines will probably be shorter….

  6. I would have loved to return for our 25th anniversary however having to pay extra for the lightning lanes and fees, it’s not worth the price to try to ride the attractions.

We use to go to Disney a lot with the kids till about 11 years ago. When prices started to go up then we said that was it we are done. I rather pay my house off and go to cheaper amusement parks closer to home. Disney is money hungry, so good bye for good.

And yet you are still here 11 years later on a Disney site complaining, bet your kids think you’re fun…l o s e r
