I hope the next Disney CEO is not another Chapek or another Bob Iger. Disney needs new blood. It needs someone not tied to harmful DEI advocacy, someone in tune with family entertainment, respectful of Walt’s legacy and willing to be disruptive internally to get Disney back to non-political, great story-telling, family entertainment. They also need someone willing to hire top talent for key positions and be willing to “split the duties” between corporate CEO and Creative Executive, such that the vibrant creative dreams of the company and Guests are realized. All the critical divisions of Disney need reinvigorating.
