Just like a TV show, casting can make or break a show or movie. Disney failed on this and failed by rewriting and using creepy CGI dwarves

Growing up with the Disney classics I really liked Snowhite. This movie is more for young girls. Maybe that is why it wasnt such a hit.

everything Disney does now is for young girls – girl power!!! screw the boys.

What is this “Snowhite” you speak of? And what does it have to do with “Snow White?”

The Barbie movie disproves your point.

I feel bad for Gadot. She’s beautiful and talented. It’s too bad she was in such a loser movie especially alongside Zegler. Gadot deserves better.

It’s so funny how people on both sides of the political people refused this movie. MAGA reused to watch because of hateful Rachel Zegler. Many leftists didn’t want it because of Gal Gadot being for Isreal. I feel sorry for Gal.
I also agree with Han not Solo, casting is a big part of getting people to watch your movies and many stars are just trash, overused and overrated.

Republicans refuse it because they don’t like anything that may contradict their beliefs, and non-extreme lefts are probably annoyed with how Disney went overboard with trying to please everyone only to please no one.

Why would leftists be against Gadot when Hamas attacked Israel and started a war? Leftists are against war and want equality and peace.

If you’re going for a live action version of something, sticking closer to home for the original material is usually your best bet. While I applaud Disney for trying to give a fresher perspective, many mistakes were made with this movie. Companies not listening to a fan base, is insane. Look at Snakes on a Plane (the mf’ing snakes part) and Sonics redesign, literally ignoring your fan base will turn your fan base away.

As for anything political or social, keep it out of it. This is about the story being told. The Justice League movies being another example. Ezra Miller is insane, but the movie itself was good. Same thing with Aquaman 2. Amber Heard is insane, and they pulled most of her screen time over it.

TLDR; Stick to making the original story better, leave politics out of it. Listen to your fans.

The problem is that they DID listen to the fan base, which is why it got so messed up. If they had stuck to the original story, with small modernizations done (such as have diversity in the cast where it would make sense), then it would have worked. Peter Dinklage helped to ruin it by complaining about the use of dwarves, and while I respect him as an actor, he’s an idiot because it’s part of the original story. It would be like making a movie about America’s history and completely doing away with important aspects such as slavery. Yes it’s horrible, but it’s a part of history and shouldn’t be “cleaned up” to make people of today happy.

Imagine if they were to remake Charlotte’s Web, where Charlotte doesn’t die at the end because it’s a sad ending, and Wilbur was never at risk of being killed because, again, sad. It kills the story.

The only thing that I was against from the very start was Rachel Zegler being cast as Snow White. She’s an excellent actress, but her skin isn’t “white as snow,” which is part of who Snow White is. So it was nothing against her specifically, just that the role calls for a woman who is pale as heck. Someone who is an albino (regardless of their race) would have been a better choice. So the problem is that they were trying to please people more than honoring the original story as much as possible without ignoring acceptable updates.

  4. Its still playing in my movie theaters so this is a buncha baloney

    1. This is bs

It said banned in Lebanon, so sadly if we don’t live there we’re not the lucky few.

Walt Disney knew better…never mix politics!
They are actors. They need to keep their political opinions to themselves. That goes for sales ads too.

I feel sorry for Gal Gadot . Zegler has done everything to sink this movie. Her mouth sunk it before it wver came out. I can’t imagine she will get anymore movie or TV show scripts. She has ruined her career with her big mouth. Gal Gadot has done nothing but try and support this picture. She is not the only actress that’s movies have been banned in Lebanon, just because she is Jewish. They have banned many more movies because of women being involved, especially if they are not dressed according to Lebanon rules.
