I’m excited for it all! The Muppets are awesome but most younger people have no clue about them so why not move to something they know more about since the young adults are the ones that are most likely buying tickets and visiting the most now. I honestly can’t tell you how many times I’ve looked at the empty island and the practically empty boat and wondered why nothing was changed. Most schools don’t even allow kids to read Tom Sawyer anymore so kids don’t really know about him. The boat is mostly all the boomers and face it, they’re not going to be spending a ton of time at Disney for a lot longer. You have to update the parks with the characters that the next generation knows. Most youngish adults get to relive their childhood with Monsters, Inc and Cars, and those are the ones that are the Disney adults or they have young families and share those things with the kids. I honestly don’t understand why they keep Indiana Jones. He’s not even relevant anymore and that’s another place where there are rarely any people. I think that a South America area should have gone to Epcot though and then they could have updated the Dino area and finally built the fantasy area in AK.

Mostly good news. AK needs more high quality attractions. Rivers of America has been a waste of space and new attractions will help spread out the crowds.
The RocknRoller coaster seems to be frequently down for one thing or the other. Might as well turn it over to the Muppets! But sad to see the Muppet show end…hopefully the replacement will be great.
Hey, I still miss the veggie veggie fruit fruit show at Epcots The Land. Change can be hard but many times, for the better.

  3. I don’t hate Disney but I don’t like the current direction it’s taking. This isn’t the Disney I knew as a kid.
