This is going to be a problem, especially in Magic Kingdom where it’s more crowded. I just can’t believe they want to start selling alcohol in Magic Kingdom. That park is the one that’s supposed to be family friendly. I sure hope that is not going to happen.

Why didn’t they arrest her for intoxication. Assault while intoxicated. Since they can’t give her a DWI.

Maybe they will have to start classifying scooters as a motor vehicle.

Exactly!!!! A Cart IS a motorized vehicle and should be treated as one. These are heavy and dangerous if one gets rammed by one. Wake up Disney and stop being so concerned about making more money selling Alcohol. NO Drinking and Driving. Sheriffs need to patrol and if a cart driver is suspected, give them a breathalizer test.

From the happiest place on earth to one of the most dangerous and drunken places on earth. Congratulations Disney for bringing alcohol to Disney. What’s next a red light district?

I may be a party pooper, but I don’t like that alcohol is served in the parks. I’ve been to Epcot during the day and run across incredibly drunk visitors staggering around the parks being disrespectful of everyone. It’s not the kind of place I enjoy taking my kids. I wouldn’t take them to a bar, so take your drunk selves away from the kids.

I’m torn on drinking in the parks. I don’t like seeing people stumbling all over themselves but I know people go to Epcot for the sole reason to “drink around the world.” Maybe for ones that want to do that, smaller glasses of alcohol could be offered for less to encourage people to not get too drunk. I have no issue with someone that wants to have a drink or two throughout the day, but some people get really rude and gross when they drink.
As for the scooters (and wagons, and strollers), I’ve been run into by so many of those things that I’m black and blue by the time my vacation is over. I understand that some people need the scooters to get around, but there should be a way to limit the speed of every one that enters. Those huge wagons should be banned too and I personally think that the double strollers should be turned into ones that have the seats in a row instead of side by side. Some areas are just too crowded to have people trying to squeeze past, or through, the crowds, or have something like a bike lane but only for people with strollers, scooters, wheelchairs, and wagons. I just want to go to have a good time, not get run over by every thing that has wheels.

You act as if it’s an epidemic or something, sure people act the fool but you see that literally everywhere! Stop being so dramatic, I’m sure your kids (and your husband) will appreciate it too.

    Nicely said, Paula!
    Great suggestions too…
Apparently, there aren’t enough people complaining and threatening lawsuits for being banged into… I’m sure that’s all it’d take to have some changes/improvements made re the traffic problems.

  5. My husband and I went there 6 years ago the first week in May. Many of the scooters were rented by 20 and 30 years ago olds who openly admitted they rented them so they so get to their next “stop” more quickly. Their baskets were filled with empty and partially emptied cups. They ran into to many people and just laughed.
