Wo, wait a minute! Are you telling me that it could possibly be hot, rainy AND have lightning?? Now that’s not what I had planned for a summer trip to Florida. I expected cooler, dry weather instead.
You know if climate change/global warming was a thing, we wouldn’t have bernie sanders and aoc flying around in private jets for 15,000 an hour or rockets being shot into “space” with self absorbed celebrities who now act as if they’re astronauts.
Typical Florida weather. The whole thing is to plan properly. Try to get out as early as possible. If you can plan the earliest breakfast in the parks. You can already be in the park when it opens. I normally go back to the hotel and head to the pool and have lunch by the pool. I head back to the parks as the sun is starting to go down. Most of the families with young kids are heading back and the parks normally empty out a little. If you are at Disney a good idea is to have dinner in the parks because you can stay later and walk around an empty park taking pictures. I also try to cut through the stores or any airconditioned building as you walk through the parks. I am an AP Disney and Universal holder and live in Florida. Just buy those tiny plastic raincoats that can fit in any pocket or purse at Walmart or Amazon. Try to wear shoes like Crocs or waterproof sneakers. Make sure you have a collapsible hat, sunscreen, water and a portable fan.
I agree with Stephanie that has been our plan for the years we’ve been visiting. Just go and have fun. Remember this weather will affect their Universal neighbors too
If you can’t take the heat stay at the pool go early in the morning or go in the evenings it’s still the greatest place on earth to go on vacation in 2023 on the way to disney I almost cashed in my chips but after a short battle with cancer iam going back this year in July and bring on the heat and the rain I will embrace it all just thankful I can go back.
