  1. Alcohol and other impairment substances don’t mix to well with driving a vehicle.

Average weight per Google AI is about 3,000 to 4,500 lbs. Add speed to that weight and you now have a hell of weapon or extremely dangerous contraption that can kill you or others.

As for the link to Disney, it’s not that surprising. The cast members are human and not immune to all the normal and crazy day to day interactions/struggles/stress that everyone encounters. And think otherwise because the cast members have a smile on their face and happy greeting with guests is nonsense.

Hopefully the young lady will better manage her affairs moving forward and can grow from this experience as well as get any help if necessary.

Alcohol is legal substance for adults (21+ age) as we all know, but for some adults it’s obviously not safe/dangerous.

At any event, we’re all different but then again we’re all the same too. Again, the “alcohol related accident” link to Disney is by itself not surprising to me or for that matter be shouldn’t be surprising to anyone else too.

Good story. Fortunately nobody got hurt (this time). The vehicle can be replaced as well as any additional damage that may have occurred too. But as for a Disney story, kind of a stretch other than the link to a off duty cast member. And I think that they’re (cast members) all angels or monks when not on the clock at Disney is ludacris.

Okay. I’m rambling. I’ve got to stop. Have a good day if you if you made it this far into my comment. And remember kids don’t drink and drive…🫣🤔🧐🙂

    1. And to think…not “and I think.”

Sorry, I haven’t figured out how to edit after I post a comment. Is there a trick to this?

  2. To play Devils Advocate:
Well, even an entertainment company like Disney is going to hire hundreds if not thousands of Workers and Professionals and not all of them are going to behave up to the expected standards, both on and off the work environment.

People are people and a few may exercise poor judgment due to a variety of issues. Depending on the circumstances, I’m sure that Disney will take action as a result. That could range from consoling w/o termination to letting this cast member go. I do respect your wonderful journalism, but to link this incident to a deteriorating work environment is, maybe, premature.

I say this as an employer in the entertainment industry that has to deal with staff problems in a daily basis.
