I personally like the ride. I’m from Orlando and have been to Universal many times and have rides on the ride many times.

Then you aren’t familiar with how coasters are supposed to be built. It’s truly an awful coaster, not much fun no real experience out of it rather than just surviving it. Every single time I have ridden it something gets injured or tweaked. I have been on it with many different people who insisted they go on it, they don’t which to experience it again. It’s truly a “bad coaster”.

For over 40 years, I’ve been on old and new coasters up north and in central Florida and I agree with you. This ride is a good one. I also wish EPCOT Mission: Space had another couple levels beyond Green and Orange (2.5g).
Add a Red (4g) and Black (6g) missions as options and had several missions/storylines with different exerences.

        experiences. Not exerences.

One of my favorites! I’ve ridden it more than any other rollercoaster. That said, they killed it with the music change.

Are they crazy. I am 64 years old and I have been going to universal since it opened and I absolutely love love love ripriderokit I go on it as many times as I can while visiting the park as I have an annual pass . It may not be for everyone but it is a great attraction

I love that ride and rode it last year when I was 65.

Its not bad as they say. Granted, it is older and not as smooth as the newer coaster, its still a thrilling ride. And so was the Hulk ride.

As bad as RRR may be, it’s still better than Mako at Seaworld orlando

Rip Ride Rocket is a blast. I won’t do Montu anymore. The twists are hard on the neck. And Manta is just… no.

As a gentleman, I can sympathize with any guy that has been on this ride multiple times. That giant plastic piece that comes up between your legs is an absolute nightmare. Your “private parts“ are constantly banging on this giant piece of seat molding. You spend half of the ride with your feet pressed against the floor of the ride to lift yourself up in order to stop the agonizing pain that you are experiencing. By the time you get off the ride, not only are your nether regions screaming, your legs don’t feel very good either. It is a great ride, but it is certainly one of the most uncomfortable coaster I have ever rode on.

BINGO! The ladies will never understand, it’s SO bad! Funny all the positive comments are from women;)

So true. Myballshurt for a while after I ride it and it’s one I’m not ready to explain to my small daughter why I hate that ride. Besides that I don’t mind it. Rode it 3 times last week but look forward to its replacement.

Yes!!!! The Rocket is the worst Coaster! Even with me pushing as hard as I can with my legs against the front. My Nads get smashed so hard from the seat I’m borderline throwing up from the pain

The secret song menu is still there on RIP Ride Rocket but songs on it won’t be recorded for the dvd.

Everyone knows the worst ride ever to see the world is the fast and furious ride, I know it’s not a coaster but it is a waste of space and should be replaced. I love the movies, but this ride was a huge disservice to the franchise as well as the universal parks.

Huh? Great coaster…who is this person voting it as worst coaster? Ever been on Scorpion in Busch Gardens Tampa…its so old I think every bolt has been changed 1000 times. Rough ride….boring single loop then whirling corkscrew at end. Looks like it was built in the year Zilch. My favorite coaster in Florida is Iron Gwazee in Busch Gdns Tampa. Velocicoaster nearly as good but best themed que is Best ever.

I 100% concur with the video. RRR was one of the worst coasters I was ever on. It was migraine-inducing and almost had me throwing up… and I’m the adrenaline junkie of my family. I will admit that I firmly believe any rode set to fun music (Aerosmith’s Rockin’ Roller Coaster at Hollywood Studios, and now The Guardians of thr Galaxy ride at Epcot to name a few) makes a ride infinitely better, not even the Guns’ N Roses song I selected for my ill-fated voyage on this coaster could help it. I hope they tear it down to make way for something else sooner rather than later!

Glad to know I’m not the only one who did not enjoy this coaster. I went on this ride a few months ago and I agree it’s not smooth, it’s so rough it literally bangs your head around, I felt like my head was about to fall off, I was hanging on for my dear life.
As it was the only proper outside rollercoaster in this park (Universal Orlando has 3 separate parks but I never went to the other 2 parks) I had to at least try it but I have to agree it’s one of the worst I’ve ever been on but I admit I haven’t been on many. However I had no idea you could even select the music as there were zero signs about it, only some screens about safety and such so I believe they have removed the music as I never even heard any.
The wait just wasn’t worth it but you don’t know until after you’ve been on it to see for yourself, but like I said this park only has this one traditional outside rollercoaster so there’s no other choice.

  14. Trent

It’s not that rough, it just has no flow because it has like 50 brake runs. It still sucks though.

  15. Ken

I really like it. The Hulk beats me up worse than Rip Rock and Ride. I love Roller Coasters. I always have. However I am getting up un age and my body has worked hard and shows it. Coaster I can not ride anymore are the wooden ones or backwards moving. Not saying a coaster going backwards hurts but if the entire ride is backwards. Backwards Racer at Kings Island. I think Bush Gardens has one.
Rip Rock and Ride will be missed. But it does break down a lot.

  16. EDHUGHES

Totally disagree. I love this coaster. Some of these readers need to grow some steel balls and move on. Wish they were not planning on closing it in September. Guess I will have to find a new coaster to bust my balls on. KEEP ON RIDING BOYS, YOU WILL EVENTUALLY LEARN TO LOVE THE PAIN.
