The Force Awakens cured me of having any interest in the whole Star Wars genre. Terrible acting by both lead actors, who were poorly casted, was a real turn-off. Mandalorian #1 was darn good. But they dumped the female warrior who helped the story. IMHO Disney just keeps stepping on their shoelaces. Can’t do right for doing wrong.

Adam Driver is the best actor Star Wars had ever have and might ever have.

If they truly want to kill off Star Wars for the newer generations the whole “Rota the Hutt” thing will do it. We’ve already had that episode during the animated series. It’s some of the most hated things about the series.

  3. I don’t have the Disney channel and don’t expect to add it to my streaming. If the characters are coming from that. Won’t see the movie. Keep in mind not “everyone” has the channel. Probably in 20 years the park will demolition these theme park areas for the next BIG movie them. You can’t relate to characters that are in restricted streaming channels. We spent 10 years going to the Disney parks. Now as a new senior citizen, the prices are prohibited for American seniors to go and enjoy themselves. So sad.

I think there are a thousand and one opinions on why the force awakens didn’t work. I personally believe that it is difficult capture nostalgia. I think the high box office was due to the return of the original characters. Everyone will not be satisfied. Even Lucas was criticized for destroying people’s childhood with the prequels. Lucas would be criticized as much as TFA with his own movie. I think Lucasfilm should lower their expectations and just make a good story that keeps to the lore. For any trilogy their should always be a showrunner. But you will never satisfy all fans. I was eleven when I saw Star Wars in 1977. I thought how does a robot not get sand in its gears and how does the death star move through space. I still loved it.
