Monster Inc Land better NOT be at the animation courtyard because my favorite Disney Character “Doc McStuffins” is located at the animation courtyard; I want to see her again and Doc McStuffins is Why Disney’s Hollywood Studios is my happy place.
Sorry but I would rather have Muppets show. I am not interested in a coaster. Me and my kids don’t ride fast coasters.
I would love see more Muppets in the park. We do live monsters Inc but we live Muppets also.
I’d be happy if they updated rockin roller coaster to be more like Gringotts or the Mummy. Part story and part ride (maybe the Mayhem play during the roller coaster part)
Feeling pretty sad about this. I get sick on coasters and I love Muppets! Now I have to miss out on a childhood favorite and it’s definitely hit me pretty hard. 🙁
Seems like Disney Corporate Officials don’t care about the guests concerns too much anymore.
I think it’s a competition between who can be better by reviews (between all theme parks) from movies and outside sales that could make Disney Official’s pocket accounts heavier over the past 20 years.
I agree that it’s all greed that is what is taking away what makes Disney World a place to go for the original magical history of enchantment and good ol’ fashion fun laughs.
There’s nothing wrong with building a Monster’s Inc. area and coaster ride, but why didn’t they retheme the Aerosmith coaster ride with the monsters instead?
That way Muppet’s 3-D could stay and all the attractions around it?
Why didn’t they wait to start the Car’s Attraction in the place where the Indiana Jones attraction is, since they knew they were putting a new Indiana Jones attraction over in Animal Kingdom?
Frontierland is HISTORY and there’s a whole lot more of Disney History animation and live action movies proving so!! Nothing can be done now to save that beautiful boat and Tom Sawyer, unless they put it over in Animal Kingdom somewhere.
If these RICH POCKET Officials keep bumping up their prices, they might start seeing Disney Fans to retheme themselves into other outside Parks!?!?
They ridiculously created a Star Wars land based on their new Disney Star Wars films, that no one liked and were soon forgotten, rather than recreating locations from the iriginal triliogy, because they didnt feel “45 year old fans” warranted making content for. Thinking that 45 year old fan’s money wasnt good enough for them just alienated a huge demographic with money to spend.
I wasn’t really a muppets 3D fan. It was ok for taking a break from the heat but I would not miss it. Looking forward to coaster updates and the new monsters inc ride.
I love Muppetvision. I was 16 and was in MGM Studios when it was being shot. My dad found out Jim Henson was in the park signing autographs. We made our way over to him, and waited patiently for an autograph. Unfortunately, the person in front of us got the last autograph. Despite that, we had a great memory of that day.
I vote to save the muppets because I am a muppets fan and I wish they would bring back the muppets to California for those fans who can’t afford to go to Fly
Not sure why people care so much about the Muppets. To me, it’s very dated and I’m an 80’s kid! I used to watch the show on TV. Plus, last time we went to Disney hardly anyone was in the show. We only went to it thinking it may be the last time. We thought it was cheesy and silly.
“Cheesy and silly” is a description that can easily apply to many Disney attractions that are beloved – Jungle Cruise, The Enchanted Tiki Room, The Country Bear Jamboree, et.al.
There were plenty of times that I’ve been to WDW and gone in the Muppets show and there would be maybe a dozen people in there. They are very dated. Most kids have no idea who they are.
So, Monster Inc and Cars are 2 films which, while cute, have not withstood the test of time and have wained in popularity. Why does disney want to replace 2 popular attractions with 2 films that Disney is insisting on keeping on life support?
Yes….it’s sad that those two movies didn’t seem to have the staying power that other Disney movies have, but Disney needs to give it up and put those films in the archives instead of trying to keep them on life support. .
Indiana Jones is the one on life support. Younger people probably only know anything about Indiana Jones from watching the Big Bang Theory. Cars and Monsters Inc will be fun for kids and adults. I’m looking forward to both of them. It’s nice to have new things every once in a while.
Why move the Muppets? Just do the Monsters where Aerosmith is. Give us more muppets and expand it. What about a ride of Muppets treasure island or Muppet Caper?
Keep the 3D cause it is a classic and add more Muppet attraction.
The Henson family are innovators of puppetry – Jim was creating a live show with puppets. Why not do that as well? .There is so much you are missing about the Muppets. It is a treasure art form that Walt Disney would appreciate and respect. Build a Muppet shop to sell merchendaise; a Muppet bar with the Muppet Mayhem band etc. More Muppets please!
Rivers of America is being paved over for Cars, which belongs in Hollywood Studios. There is plenty of room for it there by closing Indiana Jones, which is being constructed as a ride in Animal Kingdom. Put Cars where the now useless Indiana Jones stage show is now located.
They are building Monsters Inc at Hollywood Studios, a completely movie themed ride. Cars belongs there with it. But no, Cars will turn Rivers of America, a beautiful and let’s face it relatively comfortable area in summertime, into a paved and concrete heat generator. Think about how that will feel on a 90+ August day. Tell me Rivers of America won’t be longed for when your sweating through a Cars concrete desert.
Disney has lost its direction by catering more toward kids than adults? Most of Frontierland was very boring. I’m glad they’re getting rid of parts of it.
Some of you will complain about anything. If you’re not happy with the changes, don’t go. Disney isn’t going to care what a dozen people think when there are way more than a dozen that want changes.
While the Muppet show is lovely, the best feature of the exhibit, was a no-wait location to relax and drink a beer in an air conditioned theater in the midst of a muggy Orlando summer.

I totally agree with your comments!
I went a couple times in the 90’s and loved everything my family showed me there. Memories that will last forever!
