Trash. Just horrible. Saying you want to honor what Walt Disney did then changing everything about the story. You deserve the bad press and money lost on the film.

  2. Danny O.

Nice try, Disney. A flaming piece of…well, you know.

Just THREATENING us with the release of Snow Woke is enough for Disney fans, fairy tale aficionados, those involved with German myth/legend/lore culture, and just about anyone with an ounce of sanity to think of Disney as going extinct. Even those in cults (such as the two MAGA factions) will be avoiding this. And some from the “Woke” cult will be avoiding this, too.

How ItM & Disney think they can pretend that reality doesn’t exist is beyond me.

    1. I can only assume, possibly hope, this woke film crashes and burns. Gal Gadot is quite a good actor and looks great ” evil “, buy the choice for Snow is appalling. The girl is just not attractive enough to portray Snow, and she is a bitter woke mouth. Flop.

      1. Wolfie713

Not to contradict you when you’re wrong, but you’re wrong.

Rachel Zegler is a very attractive actress. Just her skin tone isn’t a good match for the character since the character’s skin is supposed to be “white as snow.”

Nothing wrong with her, just she is miscast.

          Bruh… except she’s ugly tho

  3. Jackie

Agree, what a disappointing movie this will be. Leave Walts original movies alone and making them SO Woke. Disney needs to stop making these live action films and stick to animation

  4. Jesus

Well.. even tho he’s still is like a Prince to me, but at the same time like a Robin Hood type of character where he steals from the rich and helps the poor people, that’s a balance…. I’m excited about this movie and IDC about what people say to her, I don’t care

    1. As you can see, by the name of the people who made comments, we know exactly what you look like!
An organization I’m a part of is sponsoring trips with more than 30 buses to escort children of all ages to see it.
So…who cares about your constant complaining, criticisms or crying because everything isn’t always the “white” way!
      Get over it!!!!!!!!!
You don’t have to support it…just sit your behinds home and flub your noodles!

      1. J.H.

It has nothing to do with race it has to do with the character is named snow white. With skin as white as snow. Stop playing the victim. Stop playing the race card. The movie also is using cgi for the dwarves. Are you ok with little people being denied the parts? Seriously you should look in the mirror and see where bigotry and racism really comes from.

      2. Tony McManus

I’m so glad you chimed in. How do feel about the rumors of a Mexican playing Moana? Or the Chinese boy playing Miguel in Coco? Perhaps you are extremely happy about Pacific Islander playing Tiana? No one else would either. It’s called SNOW White, not sand brown or Snow Wheat.

      3. Anonymous

You sit on a throne of lies. Looking forward to protesters blocking theater entrances and preventing people from seeing it.

  5. You have many reasons to dislike this movie if you are on the Left. It is not exactly inclusive to put dwarves at the level of animals in CGI, while the rest of the film uses humans presented as humans. It doesn’t help those facing deportation to have a Latina disrespecting a film deeply ingrained in American tradition. And those who have lost homes in the devastating LA fires would prefer not to have the public angry at Hollywood at a time when they need help.

Those in the middle dislike the intentionally divisive nature of this film at a time when they wish the cultural divide would narrow and are disgusted to see this film appear when Europe is obsessed with cultural preservation. This movie uses immense financial resources to rewrite one of the most important folk tales shared by Germany, Austria, the Czech Republic, and Italy.

The Right hates this movie because they long for the old Disney that valued all cultures and worked hard not to offend anyone to make Disneyland a safe, happy haven for children and are sick of having their kids forced-fed woke.

So, finally, all parts of the political spectrum can agree on something. We all hate this movie.

    1. Gareth

Gary pretty much sums it up.

#1 reason though is just that Zeggler is an insufferable person and the more she tries to damage control the worse it gets.

Nothing to do with her ethnicity or political stance or whatever, she just comes across so supercilious.

    2. Wolfie713

      > You have many reasons to dislike this movie if you are on the Left.

I’m on the left and my only concern is that Snow White won’t be “white as snow.” It’s one of the characteristics of Snow White from the original film. Nothing against Zegler herself, as I believe she is a good actress. Just it’s an important detail to the character.

The reality is that it’s mostly people on the right who are up in arms over the situation because they dislike any inclusion of fairness, equality, respectful representation, etc. Add in any amount of that and right leaning people get bent out of shape over it.

      1. I’m hearing the complaint that the right objects to respectful representation often, but I don’t think it’s fair in this case. No one complained when Rachael Ziegler played Maria in West Side Story. Had Madona gotten the role, there would have been a lot of objection, and justifiably so. Sydney Watson did a great video on the topic of racial asymmetry: “Woke Hollywood needs to be stopped.”

Let’s take another example: the Little Mermaid. This story is a part of the cultural identity of Denmark. The argument for the race swap was equity for black folk by having them in more stories. But Disney had another option; there is a black Mermaid story Sukey and the Mermaid. The race swap Little Mermaid will always be controversial and not a legitimate part of black culture because it is a cultural appropriation. A well-done Sukey and the Mermaid could have been beloved by everyone for generations.

The right complain about equality anytime they can. My point on that, though, was to counter your claim that people on the left would have “many reasons” to dislike this movie. I haven’t seen it, so aside from the one concern that I already mentioned, I can’t say anything bad about it. A lot of people are up in arms about the movie based mostly on rumors and hearsay, without actually having seen the movie yet.

Since you were so quick to say that the “left” would have “many reasons” to dislike this movie, I take it that you are right leaning. More so since that mere mention was wrong. Many people are up in arms about something being “woke” without even knowing (seeing) the end result yet. To me, low-key “woke” is perfectly fine because it’s more representative of reality. It’s when something is more “in your face” or being unrealistic that I have an issue with it. However, any mention of something being “woke,” and more times than not, it’s the right leaners who get all bent out of shape. That’s even without proof that there is any validity to it.

For example, in the QL revival, there’s a character named Ian that is “queer.” However, for most of the series, he’s there and the emphasis on being queer isn’t mentioned much or focused on much. Just another character in the overall show. However, there’s an episode (second season) where someone in the past doesn’t feel they are fully female, but also not male, and so our main character (Ben, in the body of one of their sisters) mentions being “non-binary.” Not only were they fully accepted by the other sister that was there, but it’s like it was completely normal to be so accepting of that… in 1953. That one annoyed me because it completely ignored how things would have really happened during that time period.

For the record… old disney was racist so no… they didn’t value all cultures

      1. Steve

No it wasn’t and when I take over Disney it will go back to those days and be great again. The “What would Walt do?” philosophy will decide every decision made again.

      2. There are several examples of racism or alleged racism in the old Disney.
The most discussed is “Song of the South” (1946) – Critics say it idealizes the plantation era and downplays the realities of slavery and racial oppression. There was no controversy at the time, and the rationale was reasonable.

In the 1940’s we were much closer in time to the civil war. After King Philipps war, the Civil War was the most traumatic in American history. Those in the North and those in the South were careful not to offend each other because of the hate that had grown during and after the war. The nation was still healing.

Though Disney made mistakes over the years, they were primarily short and easily edited out and were not problematic at the time of production. If we contrast this with today’s Snow White trailer, it has 12,000 percent more likes than dislikes. I concede there were missteps in Disney’s long history but the company was never as far out of step with the public as it is now. The old Disney was never intentionally divisive. The Disney board does not care if it loses money, and the pension funds have continued to support the board, ignoring their fiduciary duty.

        1. David

Have you seen Song of the South? I have and you are missing so much if you not looked through to see the art created. Uncle Remus played by James Baskett did a fantastic job. In fact, he was the second African American to win an academy award in his role as Uncle Remus.

  6. Todd

I can’t wait to read the paid Disney reviews! I wonder how over the top bad they will be. I can’t wait until this movie goes away. Shouldn’t be too long.

  7. Wolfie713

    > And as for Andrew Burnap himself, the WeCrashed and Under the Banner of Heaven actor, explained how Jonathan–the non-royal in this piece–is part of the story.

Ever heard of proof reading? This sentence is a headache.

    1. Danny O.

      🤣

Live action should be taking a cartoon classic and re-enacting it with a human touch to make it more realistic. Not redo it to the liking of some woke ideology. “Take as old as time “ DONT RIUN IT !

  9. Anne

Disney is trying hard to cram this movie down our throats while giving us lies about this remake honoring the original. Meanwhile they’re deleting negative comments on YouTube on their channel to hide criticism from themselves like spoiled brats. Not only is Zegler insufferable, but so is Disney. I’m going to be one of the ones watching the cartoon on March 21rst.

    1. ROGER D STEVENS

      AMEN!!!

  10. DCB

It’s a big PASS for me. I really haven’t liked most of the live action remakes except Beauty and the Beast.

    1. Britney Diamond

I really loved the 2020 live action Mulan movie. I think it was one of the best live actions they have done, but I do not care for most of the others. The main issue I have with this one before it has even come out is that they did not stick to the main characters description, which is major since the title of the movie is literally based on it. The temperament is also completely off. Snow White is supposed to be happy despite her circumstances and overly nice and naive, which is why she falls for the trick and takes a bite out of the apple. I don’t even think I can watch this one.

  11. ROGER D STEVENS

CRAP!! They completely destroy the original story. I have watch every Disney film since I was old enough. I am over 60 years old and this will the first film I want nothing to do with.

  12. not sure why casting a brown skinned troll as a character called SNOW WHITE was a good idea and then doubling down by hiring Temu zendaya for the role is the absolute kiss of death.

    1. Anon

Not temu zendaya 😭 I know she’s not pretty, but you gon hit her with TEMU ZENDAYA

  13. Barry R

I can’t wait to NOT see this movie. Hopefully, the last bit of DEI in the tube.

  14. S.C.D.C.W.

Another trash movie. Another woke disaster, and another excuse for the simple-minded to blame everything being white and racist, thanking Snow White be not white for the sake of inclusion (a great influential mask for political propaganda, mind you- nothing more or less), even though every story in its history clearly emphasises the fact that SNow White’s name was derived from the pallid colour of her skin.
Disney is not making the magic of its former animations come to life, even though they are lying in everybody’s face about it. They are simply enjoying trashing them and somehow, for some funny reason, enjoying the loss of profits as already happened with The Little Mermaid for the same erroneous tactic.
Yes, I will complain, and yes, I will sit myself out. It’s not what a live-action should be. It’s simply, obviously and clearly, another woke joke, without inclusion properly implemented.

  15. Pat

Simply watching the trailer, reading about the incredible stupid decision to turn this masterpiece into a shoddy political progressive piece of trash deserves a total crash and burn at the box office. Disney would be better off trashing it now and cutting its losses by sending I directly to streaming now.

I want to know why all of a sudden all these liberal/leftist/bullies/Disney shills are magically popping up trying to take over. Seems very suspicious to me. Evil people on YouTube calling themselves ‘hate haters’ are trolling and saying horrid things to YouTubers fighting against the Snow Woke movie on Disney’s channel. If they’re not real people they’re definitely Disney bots trying hard to win.
It’s sad and disgusting how much hate Disney and Zegler has stirred up with this filthy movie.

  17. Anne

I want to know why all of a sudden, the closer we get to Snow Woke releasing, all these liberal b u l l i e s are popping up on Disney’s channel online, trolling and saying horrendous things to YouTubers against the movie. Seems very suspicious to me.

  18. Jessica

I want to know why all of a sudden all these ‘hate haters’ are bullying people against the Snow Woke movie on YouTube. They didn’t exist this bad when the first trailers were put out. Seems suspicious to me.

  19. John Wayne

Go “woke” and go broke Disney! Until you find your way and entertain like Walt would want you to may every garbage movie you make fail if you can’t follow in his footsteps. And a section of the park dedicated to “encanto?” A movie probably less than 10 adults ever watched? Again failure to entertain adults who by the way pay the bills.

      Replace Snow White

  21. Liz Correa

I was hoping you were replacing snow White. I’m going back to the original style of Snow White. Otherwise good luck you’ll need it.

  22. Britney Diamond

How can you have a live-action snow white without the main character matching the description of snow white, a major part of the story? The title is based on her description! Even the man in the mirror says ” with skin as white as snow”. She is supposed to be super pale. Also, her temperament was overly nice, not aggravated and fed up like it is being portrayed in this film. I don’t get it. If you are going to make a live action, follow the story and make the characters fit.

  23. Anon

It’s a sad, pitiful fairy tale when the “evil witch” is so much more beautiful than the “fairest maiden in the land”

Like, sis, even I would be murderous mad if a magic mirror told me I was uglier than this “princess”
