When one rides these attractions. You must understand that you are taking a risk. There are posting about what you will experience on the ride and if you have any illnesses you shouldn’t go on the ride. I personally don’t like tge ride because it moves forward, backwards and side to side, and it makes me dizzy, after 3 different times on that ride was enough for me, so I do the walk through.

So I think these lawsuits are frivolous, you take the risk and if something happens, you shouldn’t be allowed to sue, except the grandma who fell.

Put the blame on Benjamin Salisbury. This senior manger don’t care about safety if interfere with the guests experience and only care about safety when a guests get hurt but when employee does its their fault.

considering ALL the Safety signs and warning signs at the ride, people were looking for a payday and it finally happened. As for the woman who stumbled after being safely removed, I’m sure a number of times in MANY rides with a mobile conveyer people have stumbled even when there is a voice telling them to be cautious about the walkway. Just bad luck on her part

Your taking a risk of your own free will no one is forcing you on the ride. I took the risk at another theme park closer to home and instantly regretted my decision. But the key word to that is that it was MY choice. Here’s a thought do your research before getting on a ride.

Every one of these sounds like someone after a payday. Not being able to perform wife duties for your husband? Seriously? You decided a lawsuit with a big payday was an alternative to the divorce you were already planning. These were all nonsense outside the lady falling, but even that. After a certain age, should you really be riding stuff that tosses you around? Old people bruise when you look at them funny.

She was also grossly overweight, but they slipped that in slyly at the end!

I’m an old lady and I love the rides. Just returned from Universal Orlando. Have never been injured. If I was I wouldn’t blame the parks as it is my choice to ride them.

I have ridden it on two different trips to Universal. The first time I absolutely loved it! That was probably 12 years ago. When I was there last year, I became extremely dizzy. I shut my eyes and just hoped I wouldn’t pass out before it ended. That is experience is in no way Universal’s fault! Just 12 years of me aging caused a vastly different experience. We’re going to be there again in the near future. I definitely won’t ride it again because I learned my lesson!

I have been going to Universal for years. But im 65 now, and I have to take Dramamine to be able to ride rides like this one. Growing older stinks lol

All rides have warning signs outside the ride entrance at any park. Most of these people that do this shouldn’t have been riding. This will likely be dismissed.

It’s a shame that somebody always has to do something stupid then get hurt call a lawyer and ruin the fun for everybody else. Lawyers win every time they get the cash benefit.

I’m home sitting in my recliner reading this story. I’m so scared I betted file a case against Universal. Give me a break not one if these people should get 10 cents. Also a case of too many ambulances chasing lawyers in the world.

    “Wife duties for your husband.”

What is this 1950’s or something? Does she have to call him master while she’s at it? A wife has no duties to her husband, same as the husband has none to his wife. She isn’t his property or something…geeze.

    1. Kristen

I think saying “wife duties” was just a polite way of saying intercourse lol. Not “wife duties” as you are interpreting it to mean; (washing dishes or making dinner etc.) I don’t think it has anything to do with 1950s social norms but more with the intimate relationship that is somewhat expected in a marriage.

Yup, it’s unfortunate the use of “duty” in this case, like it’s a job, one that you feel obligated to do (which can be the case for a lot of people, lol). The legal term is “loss of consortium”.
