Those new things close or get renovated into something else that will also be unpopular. Years later and millions wasted, we still have a disco yeti. Talk about winning! Not.
You see that thing for only a second as you speed by. Animating it wouldn’t make much sense. If you were the Yeti, you wouldn’t be flailing around by yourself in a cave. You’d likely be standing or sitting there as the sled goes by, catching you off guard. Be realistic.

I Agree. If Walt was still alive, he would demand, and get, the Yeti working again. There is no way that it simply “Can’t” be repaired.
