The Disney Company has already gone too far with its “creative” ambitions. The CEO’s since The Disney brothers have passed, have lost sight of Walt’s dream. New isn’t necessarily better or creative. I’m 75 and my wife is 79 and that may be the reason for our opinion of what used to be Walt’s dream.
I’m all for updating the property but they have plenty of space to update. MUST THEY demolish the original, loved aeereas to grow?? Tom Sawyer island and the Liberty Belle are staples and loved. Not EVERYTHING needs to be a thrill ride… As a longtime Disney goer, I am disappointed
We will never go back again since we are in our early 70’s and on social security. It cost to much and all the extra stuff you have to pay for to get on the different attractions which I still ride. To woke!
Too woke? Seriously.. I will grant you that it is too expensive for most families now days.. BUT,part of the problem is that the shareholders and CEOs,etc, demand a greater profit every year.. Nobody is happy if the huge profit margins stay the same . No amount of $ is every enough.. If they must pay workers a fair wage so that they can afford to live nearby, then they increase the price of parking or sodas or whatever, because God forbid the CEOs make $1000 less this year.. it’s greed that’s the problem, not woke
I was born, raised and lived most of my life here. I’ve never been to “the most magical place on earth”, give me a break. I don’t have a real high opinion of the place so will likely continue not going.
I have been to Disney twice here in Florida. I don’t think my husband and I will ever be able to afford to take a family trip. It will literally cost us over a 1000 dollars just in tickets. That’s with our 2 year old being free. We are a family of 4. That’s absolutely ridiculous. That’s with the supposed Florida resident discount. It’s just sad. And the fact that people defend the prices is sickening. What’s worse is so many of the employees are paid minimum wage and kept part time. Shame on everyone in charge at Disney and shame on anyone who would defend the practice of being a POS.
There are so many other things to enjoy in FL other than the mouse money pit. We were pass holders for years but stopped when we saw a male genitalia sculpted into a Disney princess bush( no pun intended) and of course the costs, long lines n confusing rules n changing regulations. Bush gardens n adventure island Cost a few hundred bucks for all year. That’s it! Legoland is way affordable than Disney. Stop buying into the magic story. The only magic is created by Disney accountants n their money grab for your wallet. Florida has more adventures than all of Disney.
I agree with most of the comments here. Disney is expensive and heading in the wrong direction. Disney is not Universal and should not try to unnecessarily compete with them. Disney has to take a step back and think of guests, not dollars. Take a walk along Rivers of America when it is 95 outside in the summer, then tell me it’s better to have it paved over and make it the unbearable sweat-box Universal is. THINK ABOUT IT DISNEY!!

I agree. Walt would be turning in his grave with what’s become of Disney parks. They are not universally affordable or appealing anymore.

Agree completely.

I’m 35, I’ve been going to Disney world since I was 5. Been somewhere around a dozen times. Tom Sawyer Island and Liberty Belle won’t be missed.

So sorry for you, but good news, sounds like you won’t have to worry it much longer.

What does ‘to woke’ have to do with the price? 🤔 Sounds like you’re ‘too poor’

Exactly, I agree with you.

If you have a problem with something being woke then you are not Christians or even an understanding or compassionate person.
Sam
Says the old tried and true unwoke. Sad you never left the 1950s.

Not qualified to give an opinion of Disney World, if you have never been there.

It was never the same since they took away Ellen and the Universe of Energy. Then it completely went to hell when they took away The Great Movie Ride
