Walt chose PEOPLE over PROFIT. Disney used to be about GREAT STORYTELLING & ENTERTAINMENT for EVERYONE! Now, they’re only another CORPORATE GREED with politics running everything.
When I hear ‘right and far right wing’ use a word in a derogatory manner, I begin to ask “why”, “whose interests does it serve (probably GOP’s base of White Nationalists, a.k.a. White Christian Nationalists, corporation & libertarians who want all of the benefits of our nation without paying taxes or responsibility for their employees, local and state communities, and environmental damage.
In the USA, the left has been falsely demonized as ‘socialist’, ‘communist’, ‘unAmerican, and not real Americans. If Disney would stop pushing lgbtq agenda and raising prices every month because they lost money in other failed projects, then maybe I would consider returning. We loved Disney World enough to stay 18 days in one trip. But now they are so out of touch with their core audience that they keep spending millions on projects that don’t last but a year or two and then comes the big retheme. And also come the price hikes to recover from their bad choices. Instead of punishing us for your mistakes, how about just eating that cost and continue to let your average person be able to afford a vacation instead of rich people. Or is that what you want Disney?

Disney did go full DEI and put that above quality family entertainment. Many new DEI-rich new creative releases bombed. Disney has recently “toned down the talk” about DEI, but have they returned to family entertainment? Diversity isn’t a bad thing to conservatives. Look at Moana, Coco and Encanto, all shows about diverse cultures, all well made and entertaining. DEI fails when it’s gratituutous. DEI fails when key personnel are promoted solely on DEI grounds and not their capabilities and readiness.
Conservatives object to the extreme LGBTQ advocacy in Disney’s newer creative releases, especially because Disney’s target audience is children. Disney stepped over a bright red line called “trust,” with their LGBTQ advocacy resembling indoctrination. Generations later…in the 1960’s, you have your “Hippie” movement. Same thing as the 1930’s; except with protests and attempting to do something about it. Generations later…in the 1990’s, you have the “P.C. (Politically Correctness)” movement. Instead of just protesting, they were more focused on telling everyone (who wasn’t like them) what to do. While this was about not dividing, they were going about it in an aggressive manner. Generations later…in the 2020’s, you have the “Woke” movement. More aggressive and forceful than the P.C. people. Anyone that didn’t follow their cult became the enemy, in their eyes. Sounds similar to their extreme counterparts (MAGA). What’s worse, the Woke cult believes they’re doing this for DEI, rather than their own desire to control everyone.
When the pandemic hit, many humans were scared. They felt helpless…powerless…not in control of their own lives. It’s psychologically the likely reason for the two cults (MAGA & Woke) to feel the need to control everyone.
I just can’t wait until 2029. Hopefully both cults will no longer be the driving force of this country by then.
