    Huh? This makes no sense. There is no error in the movie. The steep concrete cliff that Dr. Grant and Lex repel down is *on the other side of the road* from the T-Rex paddock, plain and simple. The Rex broke through the paddock’s de-activated electrified fence, then attacked the Land Rovers on the road; the moat is on the RIGHT side of the road, not the left. The road is BETWEEN the paddock and the cliff.

    It’s not the opposite side, but an odd interpretation from the book. In the book the trail the jeeps were on wound around the paddock, climbing into the mountains.
