My whole family and I contracted NOROVIRUS after eating brunch last Sunday at Goofy’s Kitchen in the Disneyland Hotel. It’s the WORST, especially for my two year old grandson and myself, as I have a severely compromised immune system. I hope someone reports it to the Disneyland powers that be, and I hope that they clean and disinfect that buffet because this is a horrible bug that almost landed me in the hospital!
It’s impossible to pinpoint something like that. It’s highly contagious, and it’s very possible you contracted it from another guest since it is going around. This is why my daughter and I use disinfectant on our hands after we visit the buffet to fill our plates.
You honestly can’t blame the restaurant at this time. The norovirus has been spiking since November, with the last 2 months being at its highest. You’re at a large public area, two year olds touch everything and then put their hands in their mouths. The chances are more likely you got it from another guest or while walking around the park.
Why in the world would you take the chance eating at a buffet with a compromised immune system? You do know everyone touches the utensils! Not Disneys fault
You got NOROVIRUS or food poisoning. Two different things ? It’s rare to get NOROVIRUS from food! You could have picked it up touching ANYTHING in the park or ANYWHERE!
That little piece at the end about the fires in Southern California kind of doesn’t fit in. It’s kind of like here is a bunch of information about false alarms that have happened at the Grand Californian, here’s a blurb about a Christmas tree that started on fire, and oh and by the way, here’s a place to donate to the victims of the wildfire. 🙂 Anyway, interesting about all of the false alarms.
We had to evacuate when I was there a few years ago due to a small fire that broke out. To this day my daughter freaks out if she hears a fire alarm go off. However Disney did not have the best evacuation plan for that. We got stuck on the highest floor with another group of people and looked over the balcony to see a security guard and asked him how do we get down and he ignored us and kept walking while the alarm was going off. After our wonderful experience I did email guest services and they have is a discount to come back but it was a scary experience

We had to evacuate in the early morning hours 23 years ago at the Grand California hotel. They do have a lot of false alarms.

You don’t look at the evacuation map whenever you check into any hotel? Or ask the front desk if you’re on a high floor?
