Sorry, Diane Disney Miller, but due to the WOKE and DEI policies of The Disney Company and its leadership; they have abandoned your father’s and uncle’s creative and financial genius. I believe the downhill destructive policies began when Michael Eisner was CEO and it has gotten worse. I’ve recently read that The Disney Company may be abandoning DEI, but I seriously doubt it will make a difference. How many people complained about a scene from “Pirates” out of the millions which see the attraction every year in all the parks? One percent at most? So much for the majority who enjoyed the scenic ride.
The Pirates ride is basically the same except they’re no longer auctioning the women off in 1 scene. If that is considered “woke” so be it. The fact that it bothers you is a bit strange.
Disney had no right to change the auction scene and it will be changed back in time for the 75th of Pirates if not sooner. Not one complaint was ever made about it.
I would like to visit but not risking life or limb to go to SF. I’ve worked there and seen for myself. Hard pass on a great opportunity to see Disney history.
I love this museum! I’ve been several times & there is no need to worry about all the “scary” things that happen in SF. It’s located in the Presidio area near the Golden Gate Bridge so there’s a great view. If you’re able to go it really has some great items on display. My favorite thing is the miniature model of the park on opening day – you get to see some rides/exhibits that no longer exist. My cousin volunteered there years ago & got to meet Diane Disney Miller before she passed.

Not sure what the SF hate is about. I live here and the museum is in a wonderful location. Never once feared for my life in this city.
