Disney opened if Florida to have a park on both coasts. And Iger thought the governor way back when personally begged Disney to built there?! Walt wanted to expand his FAMILY ORIENTED ENTERTAINMENT to SPREAD THE JOY AROUND THE WORLD!

Guess what? DeSantis only cares about MAGA. FLORIDA only cares about MAGA. They don’t really care that you paid your $15,000,000 membership dues.

Unless you promote rich, heterosexual, white, Christian male supremacy, they don’t care. Unless you promote anti-Pride and/or “whites only”, they don’t care. Unless you don’t allow any non-males to have a voice, they don’t care.

Disney means NOTHING to Florida. Disney, you overstated your value to DeSantis.

  2. Chris,

Sounds like fraud or possibly perjury if presented to the court. Either way it’s probably not a good thing to do.

If Disney World were to close, what would the economic impact be for all businesses within a 20-mile radius? I don’t know. But I came here to Florida, Orlando, and to WDW for the first time in 1978. The mind plays tricks on the mind of an old man, but the memories I have of the area in 1978, and how it looked with the orange groves along I-4, and the number of stores, hotels, etc. is nowhere to be found today when compared to what exists today in that 2-mile radius, and beyond.

Sorry for the snafu. that last line should have read 20-mile radius, even more I suspect.
