The stroller theory is an interesting one, but it quickly falls apart as the TSA tools for opening the locks are widely available to the public (rendering the locks mostly useless anyway), meaning Disney could just have the TSA tools on hand to solve the issue.
The selfie stick that is short and can fit in a backpack is appropriate but longer selfie sticks are not allowed. Selfie sticks that are much longer aren’t allowed. Security are knowledgeable which ones are allowed.
If they aren’t spotted by security at the gate and a CM sees one that shouldn’t be allowed inside the park, they will inform them to take back to their hotel or car or have security take it.
May Disney one day please take care to going back to being affordable to all families. Not just the one’s with a lot of money. Been in the magic Kingdom club, like many other things stopped by not enough money brought in!

I wish Disney would enforce their rules. On my last visit I saw two people from a family group smoking while strolling around the Animal Kingdom, reported it to a couple of CM’s without any action being taken. In the queue for Tron, there was a man openly vaping. I reported it three times and was met with a shoulder shrug on each occasion. He continued all the way through the wait and was even vaping while standing in the loading section. I’m sure the CM’s think “I don’t get paid enough” for the arguments and hassle challenging guests who break the rules would bring, so it’s easier to ignore it.
It’s not the old “I don’t get paid enough” nonsense! It’s security and management not having your back if you get into a confrontation with a guest(s)!!!

Why does this site insist on making you scroll through paragraphs of nonsense to get to the actual title content.

As a retired Imagineer, I know there are very good reasons for all of these choices. Have a safe and magical day, to you and all the guests.
