  1. In my opinion, this is a step backwards for Disney. The charm of Disney is the feel and magical moments in not feeling like every other amusement park. Anyone can plant rides for amusement but Disney had the magic of making child and adult alike believe they are in a special place not found in this ever stressful and confusing world. A place to escape, even for a brief moment. And willing to pay dearly for that peace. What could be more peaceful than traveling on a paddle boat on quiet waters and visiting an island you read about as a child. A moment to escape in a carefree world. Almost joining Tom Sawyer in his world. Disney is losing its personality for profit. They own so much land that could be developed. Miles of property that could be added to instead of destroying the memories and the Disney World culture that once made them the happiest place on earth. Now, it is slowly becoming just another amusement park with the feel of a Six Flags. Six Flags has their place in the world for entertainment but Disney has their place of being a place where all people and cultures can come together. What a shame. We are losing a part of Americana. Farewell Tom, our friend. You’re being replaced by a cartoon car that pretends to be a person. A special place for that. But not at the sacrifice coming. Good bye Disney.

😡💢💢WRONG words to say!!! You should NEVER say “Goodbye Disney”!!! NOBODY SHOULD EVER SAY GOODBYE TO DISNEY WHEN POSITIVE CHANGES ARE GOING TO HAPPEN!!!
The Rivers of America WILL be saved, and we’re going to fight hard to make that happen! It’s a million years WAY too early to say goodbye to Disney!!!

The Rivers are not being removed. No Cars is coming and people will be saying farewell to Pixar in the parks in the not too distant future upon the breakup of the Walt Disney Company.

WATCH YOUR MOUTH!!! Stop talking such asinine hogwash like that!!! The “breakup” of the Walt Disney Company IS NEVER happening! The Walt Disney Company IS going to CHANGE for the better, and NOBODY will ever be saying farewell to Pixar in the parks in the not-too-distant future!

      1. Steve

The breakup of the Disney Company will happen and it will be for the better. Disney will be shrinking and be put back in its place as just an animation studio with some theme parks. We have laws against monopolies for a reason. Teddy Roosevelt didn’t break up Standard Oil under Rockefeller for no reason and the original AT&T also known as Ma Bell wasn’t broken up for no reason. No one should be allowed to own as much IP as Disney and without Pixar, Marvel, Lucasfilm, or any other of those acquisitions, Disney can focus on what made it great in the first place and be creative again.

The only “change I’m looking forward to is the villains area being added. I’m NOT happy about Liberty Belle, have never seen Cats, no interest, and from what I understand Cars doesn’t fit in that area at all! Why put it there instead of replacing that awful Speedway near Tomorrowland? Can you imagine the Haunted Mansion overlooking some silly Cars ride? Big mistake, huge.

    1. Steve

Well no Villains Land is coming. The Rivers of America and the Liberty Belle are not going anywhere. That is a fact.

    So so sad !!
After the devastating fires in California, shouldn’t the Parks keep a large water source on hand ? Bringing some Mark Twain movie remakes can solve the problem of the attractions getting stale.
Kids and parents will still go for that.

  5. I’m here to suggest how to save the liberty belle river boat so please follow the magic. WALT DISNEY WORLD wants to tear out rivers of America, then let them because I remember that in califorina they saved trees .
So in Florida why not put Liberty Belle in the lake out front . They can move anything then move it to the grand lake out front.
I hope I got people thinking

Good idea, they need to save the Bell! I think the Disneyland version The Mark Twain, was an anniversary gift from Walt to his wife.

I’ll miss the Rivers Of America & the beloved Liberty Belle Steamboat. Won’t forget the last time I traveled on it & enjoyed the whistle greets between the train & boat together. Was like a wrinkle in time! It’s like Br’er Rabbit who said, “I ain’t never comin’ back to this here laughin’ place!” “That I Is!” And that he said.

Neither the Liberty Belle or the Rivers of America are closing. It’s a hoax and they’ll both still be there for the 75th in 2046 along with Splash Mountain. There is no Tiana’s Bayou Adventure.
