Dear lady, just because your child wants something now doesn’t mean that anyone is obligated to accede to his demands. What makes you think that your child is more important than someone else’s child? Clearly Goofy was already interacting with another young fan. Furthermore, for the safety of your child you might consider teaching him that it is never acceptable to put your hands on another person without their consent. How would you feel if someone just walked up behind you and grabbed your nose. And what if it had been an actual dog, instead of a person in a dog costume. Your child might be seriously injured. Your child’s safety should be your primary concern, pay attention to that and it won’t matter what kind of day someone else is having.

      Very well stated.

Goofy should have pushed the kid over, then grabbed the mother’s phone and smashed it.

That mother should teach her child some manners. Mother and child were very rude! Today’s society does not teach children to be polite and have patience. Their actions took away precious moments from another guest and that was RUDE and disrespectful to the others in the park.

Totally agree with you. Parents need to teach respect and take responsibility for the child’s bad acts.

      Totally 💯% agree!

I agree with the others. Parents are not teaching children respect. Nor are they taking responsibility for the bad actions of their children. I think Goofy was very polite in just brushing the kid off. I have seen too many children being rude, disrespectful and pushy. These actions are learned from the parents.
    Shame on these parents.

One generation wanted to instill confidence in their children; so — in a sports tournament — they would take the team (win or lose) for ice cream or something. No problem.

Next generation decided giving EVERYONE a trophy (just for being there) was a good idea.

The following generation took it even further. They praised their children…regardless of behavior.

The generation after that is whom we have to deal with now. “Watch as the stripper brushes of my child constantly grabbing her. See how the bouncer tosses him out the door. How rude of them to do that to my son!”

I think the only person that needs to ‘do better’ in this situation is the Mom. Her kid was a brat. I clearly recall taking my daughter to WDW for the first time when she was about 4-5. We were really lucky as she got chosen to do special things like go up and dance in a show and be part of the Bear in the Big Blue House show. There were kids that didn’t want to wait their turn or were sad they didn’t get chosen who turned feral. Many parents did too! Practically shoving my daughter out of the way. It was beyond rude. This is exactly why our countries children are growing up to be entitled Karen’s who don’t have one ounce of self awareness or respect for the basic rules of civility in society. This mom should have stepped up to get her kid the minute she saw him touch Goofy, or noticed that he was engaging with another child at that moment. Should have halted his behavior right then and redirected. The telling part was the audacity she displayed by putting the clip up and insinuating that somehow it was Goofy’s or Disneyland’s fault! Hopefully the backlash pulled that Princess.out the Land of Narcissism and got her thinking about amending her parenting style before she has an man-boy who acts that way.
