We recently bought it for 3 of the parks, with epcot costing $800, animal kingdom, $800 and hollywood studios at $1400. Magic kingdom was sold out and it was miserable without it as the lines were 90+ minutes each.

We love the option, but it’s pure greed. The genie + system was amazing and they should have never gone away. The cheaper multi pass is useless.

Nice to have that kind of money……I’m a retired school teacher so that will never happen for my family.

My household income is LESS THAN $30,000 annual. Something tells me I’m not in Disney’s target demographic.

Hey Dan, you’ve said in other posts that you are actually going to Disney this month. If your annual household income is less than 30K there is no way you should be prioritizing a vacation of this magnitude. You should probably look at your life choices. May I suggest a state or federal park, there are some beautiful options.

If your annual household income is less than 30K you have bigger issues than worrying about a vacation pal.

It’s funny that MAGA is focused on my income. I’m used to budgeting. Just wait until they FAFO when they cost of living skyrockets too far above their expectations. 🤣

I haven’t gone yet with the new multipass system but from studying in preparation it seems worse. It’s great to prebook 3 but by the time you scan into 1 all other rides you are trying to use it for are gone or either have late return windows. It also sucks if you don’t rope drop. You either just accept you basically paid $30 per person to use the LL for 3 rides or spend the ENTIRE day on you phone refreshing for new times to appear. Premiere pass sounds awesome but way out of price range for the majority of park goers.

With the price of Disney becoming out of reach for many, it is ridiculous that this is a paid for service. Fast Pass worked very well, was easy to use and was fair to all who entered and not something for only those who can afford the extra fee on top of an already expensive park ticket. Likely not what Walt envisioned for his parks.

      💯% agree!

      Agree totally.

I last visited during Covid-19 and while I have been there many times, since the park opened, I knew this would be my last trip.

Just way too expensive and I feel corporate forgot Walt’s dream of a place for families to go.

It has gotten worse. I still have E tickets in my scrap book.

There is no value and they keep raising costs.

I still miss the days of paper fast passes that were free. Disney still had more visitors than Universal and it was so much easier. Didn’t spend half the day on your phone was also a plus! Bring the kiosks back and people can scan their magic band or phone, no paper pass needed and it’s still free!

Disney has such a disjointed array of thievery options, people are backing away.

I second that. Before Genie+, Disney fans from all over…even people that just wanted to go to ANY fun amusement park knew that Disney parks were where to go!

Then, corporate greed took over. After that, no more “walk-in” restaurants & LL to squeeze even MORE money outta’ everyone. Political agenda got worse.

Lucas wants Star Wars back for a reason. Disney is going down in flames!

Yea…….will just run right out and purchase that one…..along with my $8.00 box of popcorn and $4.00 bottle of water that I could bring in from Costco for 25 cents.

I used to just fill my water bottle at the water fountains. Didn’t cost a thing. I also used to fill my bottle with iced tea at breakfast, before I would leave to catch the bus. I also threw small snacks into my little backpack. I basically just bought meals.

Was just there last weekend and Disney is out of control. Been a DVC member since 2006 and still feel that Disney is price gouging everything.

Three day, one park per day for 5 adults – $2,500
Guardians for 4, Rise of the Resistance for 5, Tron for 4,
Genie Plus for MK for 5 – $487

Meals and drinks for 3 days, 5 adults – $2,500

In Epcot we stood in line for an hour at the ball, frozen and ratatouille and all three rides went down. Ball gave us a fast pass no problem. The team at Frozen treated you as if they were paying for the fast pass and ratatouille we were not in far enough to get a fast pass.

Same thing happened at HS with Rocking Roller Coaster. We were just outside the door and could not get the fast pass. I went to guest relations right outside the ride and they gave it to me. They had a little bit of an attitude until I said this.

Now that Disney is nickel and diming us for EVERYTHING you can expect people to start complaining more. Time is money and money is time, and it’s MY time and money that you’re wasting. So yes, I’m going to complain every time a ride goes done and ask for a fast pass. Even if I didn’t purchase the ride to begin with. I was nice when I said it but she did “red flag” us and said not to expect anymore. I said thank you, turned around and noticed a long line and said “good luck” to the representative.

What I DID notice on this trip was a lot of “guest relations” blue umbrella pop ups around the parks. This used to only be at the front of the parks. Disney knows it has issues and put these up around the parks to help in the amount of complaints.

Mr. Bum here’s where I find a flaw in your complaining, you don’t mind if I call you a complainer right? Anyway, so even back in 2006 you probably dropped at least 20K on your DVC of your own free will, spend at least 1K a year on your points, ticket prices are high but so is inflation, you willingly spent extra money on Genie Plus (good move by the way I do too), the thing I find curious is the 2.5K on food for 3 days. That works out to $166 per person per day, now you guys must be eating (and drinking) 3 meals a day. Don’t get me wrong so do I, it’s vacation, but I don’t complain about it after.

  9. I’ve decided I want to be filthy rich so that I can reach a whole other level of happiness when visiting my favorite theme parks. Skipping by the “Riff Raff” and more or less hopping on every single ride in the park would be the pinnacle of happiness. No doubt, I would be in heaven. Oh well, it’s nice to have dreams and goals, but not too likely anything is going to take place differently in my life time to make this happen. So sad…😢😢😢

I just came back from Disney last month. Bottom line, if it wasn’t broken, it was breaking while on it! I get paying more, but certainly not for less!
