See?! This scrawny blonde surfer I drew last month looks totally like Maui! They stole it from me! And look how similar the drawing of Moana I drew in a bikini looks like the one they used years before I drew this! Even MORE proof that my lawsuit is legit!

Really? The guy claims that he showed his idea to Disney in 2015. Moana came out in 2016. So far, there might be a case (based on the statute of limitations). Moana was not only a box office smash; but made TONS on merch, as well. Did he sue in 2017? No. 2018? No. 2019? No. WHEN did he file? AFTER Moana 2 made a lot of money in theaters!

Kimba: the White Lion sued Disney within a couple years of Lion King’s release. THIS GUY waited until after Moana 2 became more popular before claiming that it was HIS idea. Even IF he created the concept (of a Polynesian tale that was around centuries before he was born), why not file when the movie was released? Why not when it went to DVD/Blu-Ray? Why wait until you were desperate for money…almost a DECADE later?

One might doubt his claims. He would have been better claiming that he wrote Tron (in the 1982). After all, have you ridden Disney’s Tron Lightcycle ride?! Now THAT is a moneymaker!

Disney gets a lot of heat for their business practice and choice of wokeness when it comes to their modern movies. But even I find this man’s claims ridiculous. The judge will probably laugh him right out of court. Should’ve, could’ve, would’ve.
