The very last sentence in his statement saying that CAPs characteristics resonate with people around the world doubles down on his initial statement. Captain DEI will fail.
It wasn’t a retraction. He was clear that american values aren’t the same today as what cap stands for. The same thought and arc happened in the comics. I don’t know why some folks don’t get that the classic American ideals aren’t what our country, specifically our government, are representing to the world today. Cap stands for justice and equality for all…you know like an inclusive view of equality for our diverse population. Some people don’t get that.

You mean the values that “steal from the poor — in order to give to the rich”? The values that give cults the ability to terrorize their neighbors…their community…their own families?
No one was genuinely enthused about this project to begin with. They had to redo the title and have reshot scenes about 5x now due to really bad test screening responses. And now, they have Mackie pulling a full Zegler and tacking crap about his own film. Just like her, the apologies and clarifications are never as sincere or passionate as the pile of BS they uttered to get them there in the first place.

I am appalled by Mackie’s blatant disregard for the United States, a country that has been a shining beacon of hope and opportunity for millions of people around the world. Despite its flaws, America remains a nation that embodies the principles of freedom, justice, and equality, and it’s disheartening to see someone like Mackie express such disdain for it. As a result, I am choosing to boycott not only this movie but also any future projects that feature Mackie or anyone else who shares their anti-American sentiments. I will not support or promote individuals who openly despise the very country that has given them the platform to succeed. Instead, I will proudly stand by those who respect and appreciate the United States and all that it represents.

Disney is set to lose almost 800 million dollars in Feb and march. How long will the the shareholders at Disney continue to put up with that?
They will have to reverse course and rework their whole media strategy.
