I can’t fathom why the Imagineers would want to decimate Frontierland when a far, far more reasonable alternative plan can be adopted. If the Cars rides were built on the former site of the River the park would have TWO RIDES FEATURING CARS!!! The other is the Tomorrowland Speedway, which hasn’t been “plussed” since 1971. By ripping it out and building the Cars rides in its place, the River can be saved, while updating an existing ride. (If this proves impractical, they could remove the Indy Stunt Show from the DHS).
I agree that Fronteir Land is changing but I trust they can make it work. The other two attractions you mentioned are still very popular. What they are removing isn’t.
Except Frontierland is not changing. It’s a hoax. Disney has no right to remove any of it. No Cars is ever coming and the end of Pixar in the parks is nigh due to the breakup of Disney’s monopoly like Standard Oil and Ma Bell.
Crazy Steve I gotta tell you I appreciate your craziness, really do. Don’t let the haters hate on you. You keep on keepin’ on with your time travelin’, military uniform salutin’, relatives in congress power trippin’ crazy talk. It makes the world a more entertaining place.
You don’t ever call people crazy. You show proper respect to military men and my folks in Congress don’t allow anyone to disrespect their loved ones. Nepotism is a beautiful thing.
I agree with Matthew. It makes much more sense to leave the river and TS island intact and out Cars land @ tomorrowland speedway. TLS while fun and appropriate for younger parkgoers is a noxious fumes emittint hazard for anyone with asthma. I think those same young parkgoers are the same demographic and would prefer Cars land and we get to keep the bit of nostalgia and the peace and quiet in Frontiersland
A very secretive interview conducted with a head imagineer was that the company wanted to remove itself from “Americana” and Frontierland was considered too white and not diverse enough. Hence the demolition of those Americana inspired attractions. I was there during the 4th of July. The decorations and festivities were minimal at best
That’s not true. There is no plan to remove Frontierland or the Rivers of America nor does Disney have any right to. Disney parks are required to promote American history. Any imagineer who thinks otherwise will be blacklisted.
Exactly!!!! That is because on the eyes of their extreme DEI department anything that has to do with Frontier, Wild West, Old America, Country Western Music, is not inclusive. First came Splash Mountain! Then Country Bear Jamboree which if anyone follows Tom Corless and WDWNT under Bob Chapek (yes both of them are equally bad) was gonna be scrapped and became a Toy Story Marionette show! Thanks to his efforts that was stopped and we got the Country Bear Musical Jamboree instead! Then came Frontierland Shooting Arcade and now this! Going back to Country Bears I fear every day that Country Bear Musical Jamboree is temporary bandaid and it will become something like Tiana’s Critter Band Jazz Show something or other with Pecos Bill becoming Tiana’s Palace! If anything I think Pecos Bill should become Country Bears BBQ themed restaurant like they did to Hungry Bear in Disneyland to cement attraction in Disneyland makes sense because show lets out to Pecos Bill practically! Because if my fear gets realized and CBMJ goes, so does Frontierland in entirety. It may be Disneyfird but at least it still has country music elements but that’s why I fear it’s a temporary bandaid with their extreme DEI department!

Tomorrowland Speedway should have been removed. It’s an outdated pollution maker and looks terrible. The structure is 54 years old and opened in 1971 as an original attraction. Cars land in that spot would have worked nicely and enhanced newer rides such as Tron.
“The Florida property has enough room to hold all our dreams” a paraphrase from Walt – so why not expand the park? The attendance allegedly would support the extra space and alleviate the crowds. It is of course to wreck the Disney legacy and change it forever. It is absolutely STUPID to destroy frontierland. Just one more reason we will never spend money at the over priced Disney again.
We have been coming to WDW for 45 years and have seen many changes, some are great and others were in my opinion, WHAT WERE Y’ALL THINKING.
We saw the addition of many attractions come and go, World of Motion, Living Seas, the original CommuniCores
Disney started with entertainment that was fun and educational. Now it is about the thrills and drunken brawls caused by Drinking Around the World.
That is why Norway is no longer about the country and now about a song.
The changes that have been accomplished in the name of alleged offensive attractions is a joke. The worst part is that they cannot get it to operate correctly.
Removing Frontierland is killing the original thoughts of Walt and Roy.
STOP the woke agenda!
If you want to add something, expand the parks that Walt bought and is not being utilized.
Call it Crybabyland,, for those who feel previledged. It is not he Happiest Place on Earth anymore, it’s cry Racisumland or I want it myland. It is not Disneyland or World anymore.
I just know that the majority of why I spend my money there has a lot to do with nostalgia. At some point if that’s gone, I will probably go elsewhere as TBH, Universal is doing amazing things.
I really don’t care what changes at Disney anymore. Disney died when it went woke. I am a DVC member so the challenge is to stay in my resort without spending a dime on Disney property. I love Universal. Its more like the old Disney. Disney sucks money from you every way they can

I agree. Frontierland provides a respite and the steamboat was a beauty.

Are you and Steve lovers or something? You both seem nuts and comment a lot together on these things at the same time. Just an observation.
