I’m not sure what virus I got on my early December trip. It’s definitely not covid and THJANK GOODNESS it’s not noro. It’s either a cold or maybe even a mild fever/flu?????
Symptoms: chills, slight headache, muscle aches, sweating after taking medication (tylenol). Lasted about 1-2 days.
Good thing I got my shots, masked up, and washed and sanitized frequently, or else my illness would’ve been much worse.
If you had chills and muscle aches, and it isn’t COVID, it sounds like the flu. Flu A is surging in Central Florida along with the norovirus. Although, 1-2 days is a pretty quick recovery for flu.
This article reminds me of a circa 2020 warning the public that the COVID is at WDW. The difference here is that hand sanitizer won’t save you from norovirus as it doesn’t kill it. It’s spread primarily in vomit and feces, so people who don’t brush their teeth well and grab frequently at their bottoms without washing their hands after (young kids, for example) are perfect superspreaders. Due to the interactive nature of everything at Disney, kids touch all of it and the virus spreads easily.
We are going in a few weeks with young kids of our own. We’ll be avoiding any buffet style meals until our last day or so in hopes we avoid those germs.
I don’t think that there’s a mass cancelation of vacations.. I’m trying to go back down in a couple of weeks and there’s nothing available.. everything’s booked solid!
I was there in December and last week and going again in a couple of weeks. We don’t wear masks and wash our hands after using the bathroom of course, but we have never gotten sick going to the parks.
if you’re here for 5 days+ you’re not walking out of here without something. we were here 8 days and whole family lost a day in parks for bed rest from cold/flu symptoms we’ll be crawling through the airport masked to get home and probably have to call off work.
visited 1/17/25-1/22/25. I became sick and missed 2 park days with FluA. Spouse sick day we flew home and the 3 others are sick. While rooms were clean tables were not being cleaned quickly and not a good wipe down. We carried our own wipes, washed hands and on day 7 of this crud.
and asking for a refund from disney even with insurance is no at tier 1 calling in, no at the front desk of the resorts and generally apathy or an I OWE U for another visit from member services, tier 3. So people force themselves and families to crunch into the parks sick as all heck and superspread these germs.
I lost braincells reading this nonsense. Norovirus is the technical name for plain-old simple stomach flu. You have as much chance to get it at a gas station as you do at a theme park.
Tht Norovirus…if u had it u wouldn’t say tht. It’s the stomach flu but it’s on superman steroids! I’ve never puked or ran to the bathroom so much in my 50 yrs of life. I tested pos for covid rt after tht, then got pneumonia (which a lot are with this yrs covid strain) now I have some sinus thing I can’t get rid of & still have lingering from pneumonia. My grandson has been going theu it too…without the covid or pneumonia . Ours started after going to Jacksonville Zoo for the Xmas
lights. Norovirus can be passed within 12 hrs. It’s been something or the other since b4 Thanksgiving. We live in FL panhandle.
You must have lost them all because comparing a highly confined park with many indoor areas serving 24 to 47 thousand customers eating, touching surfaces and using bathrooms is the most obtuse baseless straw comparison I’ve ever heard.
Stay hydrated and wash your hands all day. Sanitizer helps kill germs too. You need to be relentless about these things.
It is definitely harder with little children. They pick up germs, much quicker and easier.

Exactly. We know that the SARS2 jabs don’t work… at all.

Some people would argue that Disney is tge virus that’s infecting Americans. Tear it down and give us back our swamp.
Nah Shis
Your swamp? I think not.

Yessss 👏🏻
Common sense says wash your hands, rest, drink fluids, eat lightly and stay home or to yourself.
