    This is a good thing!

Parents do have rights and should be able to talk to their kids about different things.

The other option is for them to not let their kids watch it and cancel Disney+… Disney knows it’s a money losing proposition to push a polarizing agenda.

      I agree 100% with Lea!
Disney, historically “family oriented” is too “woke” now for its own good. People don’t need “woke” theory shoved down their throats!

It’s called waking up to reality,(finally), and smart business. You don’t alienate 95% of your customer base to kiss the butt,(although they would probably enjoy that), of 5%! That’s how you end up out of business!

Empire, youre hilarious! I been saying the same thing for years. Being gay or gender confused is a brain disfunction. Why should it be pandered to? Since Disney is supposed to be an entertainment company, lets keep it entertaining by not talking about and of the following three things: Politics, Religion, and brain disfunctions!

      1. Spank You Very Much

I’ve been saying for years that religion is a brain disfunction. I guess that makes it true, right? Why pander to a group of people who believe, without proof, that there’s an invisible man in the sky who demands that you behave or else he will send you to the fiery pits of eternal damnation?

More importantly, how does another person’s brain disfunction impact your life directly as long as they’re not trying to hurt or murder you?

I didn’t know a movie that doesn’t give mention of Pixar (because it was Disney Animation Studios) is considered a Pixar film. Oh, wait. That movie has had mixed reviews and is banned in Florida.

Of COURSE it wasn’t Disney. It’s all PIXAR’s fault! All Disney has to do is claim that on social media…with the other medias following that story (without actually looking into it). Disney is blameless and Pixar is the hated one.

Look up the three titles mentioned: Turning Red, Lightyear. & Strange World. One of those things is not like the others.

Besides, there’s more to the story than Disney just pushing the “blame game” onto Pixar.

“Pixar reportedly cut a gay scene from Turning Red (2022) and almost removed a lesbian kiss from Lightyear (2022). Pixar’s Strange World (2022) featured the studio’s first openly gay teenage lead.”

This whole anti-Pride is because of the overly-religious. This includes MAGA. Take a look at other Disney stuff:

Beauty and the Beast’s live-action remake. No one had issues with that. LeFou was homosexual.

Aladdin’s live-action remake. Not the best; but no real issues there. Some mixed reviews.

Little Mermaid’s life-action remake. Many didn’t care for it. Some, because of RACE…NOT Pride! Most, because of the botched-up story.

Turning Red didn’t have mixed reviews. Most seemed to like it. Nothing wrong there.

Lightyear — the one where they changed the character cannon from what was established in the first two Toy Story films. The bad reviews were about poor animation and a terrible story. No one complained about the lesbian kiss…until AFTER the other bad reviews came into play. Disney hyped that up into claiming it was ONLY that one SINGLE-SECOND SCENE, that caused the movie to be downgraded.

Marvels, Acolyte & Agatha All Along were all advertised as being very Pride. People didn’t even give those a chance.

Snow Woke had (and STILL has) people in an uproar. Is it because of the Pride they have in there? If you claim that, let me know the scene you’re talking about.

Because of the backlash of Snow Woke, Disney removed an episode of Moon Girl (to appease Trump & MAGA). Disney told Pixar to change Inside Out 2. And now, Disney had Pixar change Win or Lose. Meanwhile, Disney is placing Strange World’s bad publicity (since Florida’s anti-Pride movement) onto Pixar.

The REAL story isn’t that the world follows this whole “It’s Adam & Eve — Not Adam & Steve” (considering only the overly-religious & MAGA believe in that). It’s that Disney is attempting to place the blame of “wokeness” onto Pixar.

Sorry, Iger. You’re a failure…TWICE. While this sounds familiar (the soon to be dictator), there IS a difference. It’s not like the failed businessman is using media and (especially) social media to place the blame on someone else (whether it be Pixar or the Democratic party).

And to think: DeSantis started this movement with his “Don’t Say Gay” bill.

Yes. It might seem like I just used “word salad” (like an orange person we know). I’ll try to clarify.

DeSantis started the march against Pride. Trump used that to further the divide of America. Disney pushed back with extreme wokeness. Trump won…causing MAGA to speak louder. Disney decided to hide behind the more successful company that they own. Disney now claims that all the stuff they’re getting in trouble with is from Pixar.

Splash Mountain racist? Blame Pixar. Tiana’s ride having more problems than if they left Splash Mountain alone? Blame Pixar. Rachel Zeglar? Blame Pixar.

Okay. So Disney hasn’t gone THAT far…yet. That’s what they’re currently doing, though. If you take a look at the successful Disney films and the successful Pixar films. Now compare those numbers with the UNsuccessful films from each. DISNEY is the “Woke” enemy of the overly-religious & MAGA. Pixar shouldn’t change, just so Disney can place in the media that Pride is all Pixar’s fault.

I’m not in the US and I’m an Atheist, so I have neither a political nor a religious objection to Disney and Pixar. Arguably, there are many facets of life that should not be included in children’s entertainment, not just the question of trans people. I do have objections to some of the output of Disney and Pixar. I do object to the over representation of a very small percentage of the community. I object to race swapping. I object to the lack of disabled representation by Disney and Pixar. I object to making a theme park and entertainment company into a political entity. I do not necessarily agree with De Santis or some of his policies but he was legally elected by the people of Florida and it is arrogant of a company to publicly criticise him and his party.

Thankyou Petra for an intelligent objective take on the subject!

Since this show is about playing a sport and working as a team. I don’t see the need to mention character’s sexual preferences in it. Especially since the target audience is Elementary School age children, who are not yet interested in dating. Also, its supposed to be entertaining, lets not include people with brain dysfunctions. There are plenty of informative and boring documentaries, made by liberal directors like Michael Moore. Those films cover stuff like that, and were made for adults who want to see that kind of crap!
