    Your content is garbage.

The Mandolorian didn’t lose viewers because of lack of interest. They lost use because we are tired of paying for a premium service and waiting 2-2 1/2 years for an 8 episode season.

2026 release date???and they wonder what happend to the viewers. Seems to be getting more ridiculous on release times for series and movies.

    2. Lianne

      Agreed!

    3. Maven

It lost interest because compared to the first two seasons…

      The third season was TERRIBLE

That’s s fact. I love the series, and that was painful. It was the ONLY reason I got disney plus at the time. Started again when the acolyte came out, and as good as that was they’re canceling that so I got rid of it again. Star Wars is playing with my feelings.

I’m also canceling my D+ subscription. I think a series should have yearly segments and am sick and tired of years between. I’m also not happy with Mando not being acted by the voice. He got a boost to his career and the literally phoned in the part that got him noticed. Then there’s the new Disney culture that would shame Walt Disney. I won’t see the Mando movie nor support Disney’s craziness any longer.

You do realized he “got noticed” before Mando series, right??
          Prince of Dorne, anyone?

Mandalorian was and is my favorite series. I would love a serson 4.

Its because it went super woke and gave everything that made the show and its characters great to new female characters for absolutely no reason..while Gina Carano got done dirty and could have been a great permanent addition..then grogu got weird and they took the whole reason away for Luke to even make an appearance…so many issues

      1. Robert

“Super woke” means what exactly, other than “I didn’t like it”. You didn’t like the Bo Katan character? Use your words bro.

I don’t want a movie I want a series and a series with more than 8 episodes and more than 1 season. For example The Acolyte which I thought was full of twists. I was looking for more seasons. Sci-fi buffs I’ve talked with feel similar. I’ve been a sci-fi fan for over 60 years and I can’t believe how stupid the industry still remains. Do a nation wide survey of the expectations and wants of sci-fi audiences. Use college students who need to do research so they don’t need pay and then you’ll save money! Find out what your audiences want not what you think fans want. Oh, you all are so unrealistic. The same goes for The Secret Invasion. It would have been better with more episodes to build up the characters and situations.

    1. Maven

You’re forgetting that the Acolyte sucked horse balls and by the way, Secret Invasion also really sucked.

It’s not just me saying that: from audience viewership to audience ratings hardly anyone liked those shows…

ACOLYTE was HORRIBLE! Total waste of time…franchise killer…BUD LIGHT moment…

No one missed Cara Dune and her bad acting

The lines Gina Carano gets during live appearances prove you WRONG

If she was that important, she’d be doing movies like Pedro. Instead, she’s officially announced she’s retiring from acting, even though she puts on quite a show anytime someone interviews her about her Disney lawsuit. SMH.

It really doesn’t matter though because Carano would have gotten her show canceled even if she hadn’t been fired due to Iger wanting huge profits before he’ll really commit to anything. He’s catering to the rich now and the streaming service isn’t bringing in the profits he was hoping for.

In this storytelling world, the bar is set high. So many audience members are so quick to criticize and armchair quarterback the franchise. I trust Dave Filoni, but he is in the hottest hot seat in show business. May The Force Be With Him. And may we all just relax and enjoy the fact that there is a viable way for Star Wars stories to continue to come to the big screen. I remember when George said he was done…. We are lucky that new stories are being given resources.

Are you one of those people just happy to be given slop while saying, “just be happy they’re feeding us SOMETHING!”?

      😓

Avid watcher of Mando and Bobo fett, ashoka and way to much time between episodes , should be 16 episode seasons each and still room to bring them all together with a movie story line then run more episodes after movie.. too much time between leaves viewers flipping channels and finding better reruns thus putting the main characters on shelf of the forgettable episodes. Disney needs to spend all that theme park money and make sure these characters are up front in the center of people on edge of their seats wanting more.. a channel with mere reruns is just that, RERUNS. They are letting people get bored of the reruns and move on to other streaming channels to watch and discontinue the Disney rerun channels.. want more viewers give them fresh stuff with new story lines and you’ll get more subscribers and more ideas from more happy viewers.

I too had been looking forward to S4 of The Mandalorian. But the “will they? won’t they” has dragged on for far too long. As a life long sci fi/fantasy fan, I believe we as a group are very patient, knowing our niche is not the most popular. And we are willing to wait for a well done, captivating continuation of a good story line. But the ” yes we will; we don’t know; no we won’t” confusing updates is more aggravating than a simple “no” or “not at this time”. The other commenters have also touched on valid concerns. This makes it hard to continue waiting for the next installment of our beloved characters and leaves a bad taste for Disney all around. The movie sounds interesting but 2026? Who know what else will happen between now and then? I for one am not holding my breath on this one.

I think Disney should themselves in the foot. Mandalorian was meant to be a series. It singlehandedly launched Disney+. Third season kind of lost its way but the hint of Thrawn and Rebels content was setting up a good season 4 and back handedly getting Heir to the Empire back into canon. They saw dollar signs and think they’ll bank on a Mando movie, and they probably will, but will lose streaming viewership because the content “replacing” Mandalorian isn’t as appealing. The back and forth, the writers strike and COVID didn’t help the timing, but all that’s over now. I personally liked the Cara Dune character. That was probably the first of many mistakes here.

Why is it that as soon as I’m interested in something Disney + puts out, THEY CANCEL IT?!?!?! Loved Mandalorian, canceled. Loved The Book of Bobba Fett, canceled. What is it that you follow if not what the public wants and is willing to pay for it? Uhg! So sick of it. I may just cancel my subscription given that all the stuff I like gets canceled!

    1. Renee

      So true

  9. Paul

Disney needs to get off their butts and get Gina Carano back and give us seasons 4 thru 15 of the Mandalorion.

    1. Chris

      I agree.

  10. Me

The Mando seasons got steadily worse because they keep trying to pigeon hole other characters in. It’s no longer about the Mandalorian. It’s about Bo Katan and Ahsoka. Even Grogu feels forced. Luke’s cameo feels forced.

    Season 1 was great.

I’m concerned because we keep hearing they are going to make a number of movies that’s going to end up in a big team up of all the characters like it’s a Marvel movie. That is the worst idea and sounds like hot garbage….please no.

  11. Joyce

Disney is disappointing. We loved the Mandelorian but don’t care to wait years for new episodes. You lose interest! And then season 4 is coming out, then it’s not, then it is, now it’s a movie. They need better management. Quit screwing with us!

    1. Chris

That right but it seems like all the networks have started do pretty much the some thing. They put out a show you really like and poof it’s gone.

  12. OB1

Once again they don’t understand their audience! Mandalorian #1, Bova Fett #2, Ahsoka a distant #3. So, the fire a main actress then cancel the 4th season of Mandalorian we were hoping for….don’t care a rat’s ass about Ahsoka….Mandalorian movie without Pascal!??? Last Star Wars movie was such a piece of crap the Mandalorian movie without Pedro will earn 1/4 what it would have with Pascal and Carano!

  13. Nicole

    Nicole
I absolutely love the Mandalorian Seasons!!, I am so upset there will not be a season 4!, I watch my Mandalorian dvd set at least twice a month, I love It so much, I don’t understand why, the big executives at Disney have to mess up a wonderful series, and go back to star wars, that ship has sailed I am glad that Asoka will have a season 2, but I also with Boba Fett would come back again, I just love these Sci-Fi, series, Bring Them Back to the real Fans!!

  14. Amelia

I can’t belive we are not getting a season 4!!! I’ve been waiting patiently for it and to find out it’s not happening and that we’re getting a movie instead!!!??? No!!!! I thought the series would last at least 10 seasons!!! I was so excited!!! Yes season 3 was kind of lost but still very watchable and I knew 4 would get back on track!!! I hope they change their minds on this one!! Please, give us back our Mando and Grogu!!! We need them back in our lives!!!

  15. Mark

I totally agree with everyone about season 4 Mando. All the seasons should be 13 episodes , and instead of cancelling shows, fix them. We the fans that pay your salary, want our shows back.

  16. Paul

All the upper management at Disney cares about is how to make a buck. What they don’t realize is that they thought going woke was the in thing to do and they would bring in more revenue. That plan backfired in their face and now more people are leaving + than are leaving woke California. Let me give you some advice Disney. Bring Walt’s Disney back and return to family values and GET SOME NEW STUFF! Enough of the woke remakes!

  17. phil

Some of us are on record for saying Disney will kcuf-pu Star Wars after the purchase. I am not relishing being right; it is sad. Jon and Dave are doing a good job being a bright light. Still, Disney is so trashy that navigating this giant corporation and bringing fantastic projects every time is overwhelming and complicated.
