Guests aboard the Disney Treasure will be held to a strict new time limit while inside the ship’s Haunted Mansion Parlor. The lounge/bar is one of the many new offerings found on The Walt Disney Company’s newest vessel, the Disney Treasure, which sets sail for its maiden voyage on December 21, 2024.

The bar features gorgeous architecture and deliciously dark thematic elements, which one would expect to find inside the Haunted Mansion dark ride at Disneyland and Walt Disney World.

However, guests won’t get to spend too much time inside, with Disney confirming it will implement a new time limit on patrons inside Haunted Mansion Parlor.

According to a report from WDWNT, passengers aboard the Disney Treasure will have 45 minutes to spend inside the Haunted Mansion Parlor. A new sign placed at the entrance of the bar reveals the new rule, reading as follows:

The Haunted Mansion Parlor

Attention, Mortals!

The Ghost Captain requests all seatings are limited to a maximum of 45 minutes

Thank you

This system is reminiscent of how another one of Disney’s highly themed bars, Oga’s Cantina, works. This bar is found inside Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in both California and Florida. The Star Wars bar offers a wild and richly themed place for guests to grab something quick to drink and eat, but it also limits the amount of time guests are allowed to spend inside.

“From inspired craft cocktails and an exclusive onboard merchandise collection to nostalgic décor and beloved characters, the Haunted Mansion Parlor will immerse guests in the next chapter of the Haunted Mansion saga,” says Disney regarding the Haunted Mansion Parlor aboard the Disney Treasure. “The one-of-a-kind experience will be a swinging wake unlike any other, that of a jovial captain who entered the ghostly realm after a disastrous dinner with his beloved fiancé.”

Disney first revealed its Haunted Mansion-themed bar earlier this year, an announcement that came as quite a surprise. While the company has certainly been reaching into its treasure chest of rides, attractions, and franchises for use on its cruise ships, few guests likely expected to see Disney bring the Haunted Mansion to the Seven Seas in quite this way.

While Disney has a long history of dark rides, Haunted Mansion is perhaps the company’s most iconic and famous. Filled with ghoulish detail, it has entertained guests for decades, first opening at the original Disneyland Resort in 1969.

Since then, Haunted Mansion has been brought to numerous Disney theme parks, including Walt Disney World, Disneyland Paris, Tokyo Disneyland, and Hong Kong Disneyland. The infamy of Disney’s Haunted Mansion lives on with the Disney Treasure, with likely even more surprises in store as Disney continues to innovate with its fleet of cruise ships.

The Disney Treasure is the latest addition to Disney’s ever-expanding cruise line, which now includes six ships: the Dream, Magic, Fantasy, Wonder, Wish, and Treasure. Several more ships, such as the Disney Destiny and the Disney Adventure, as well as two unnamed ships, are currently in production.

These four new additions to the fleet will set sail sometime between 2025 and 2031,
