Poor timing on Disneys part with Universal starting to start operations at their new parks in 2025. Would not bother going to Disney with all those closures unless there was a big reduction in ticket prices..lol

Closing down rides is necessary for upgrades and safety for the patrons coming into the parks. Maybe closing the parks for a month and bringing in a huge crew would be a solution for renovations. Do it right the first time. Maintenance is also required to shut down the rides, that go for over 12 hours a day, to maintain parts and the ride is safe!

Bad time to close so much

It takes a while for any ride to get maintenance done and/or for a ride to be completely overhauled. Universal does this all the time too. I wonder if Universal would close down the Fast and the Furious ride for good. Some people say that they will.

There should be a discounted ticket price for the days when special evening events require everyone to leave the parks early. Pay for a full day, get a full day doesn’t matter anymore. Disney double dips on admission fees!

I’m truly frustrated that this is taking place although I know it is needed. We are bringing our entire family, children, their spouses and our grandchildren in February to celebrate our 50th anniversary. We have been long time DVC members and are looking forward to our upcoming visit but I’m sure our grandchildren will be sad that some of their favorite rides are closed.
