maybe Dumb Santis should be doing his job of running the state government and let Disney run Disney ? He is wasting my tax dollars on his “They hurt my feelings ” crime wave . I guess with all the problems that we have in Florida none are as great as Disney improving their park at their expense ? If he is so concerned about Disney World maybe he should quit as governor and apply as CEO of Disney ?

I do you know anything about Florida Permitting Process? Clearly you are not a Florida Resident. I would say no you don’t. Clearly you’ll read untrue facts by idiot bloggers that that are Dems and also hate and the Governor so much to link him to every news story with no true facts as much as they can do that can biased option Blogs.

I don’t care for DeSantis at all. However, his impeding Disney’s plan on removing America is something I don’t mind.

It started when Disney chose to erase black history. Then Tom Sawyer Island and the river. They shut down Frontier Land. And there was even talks about remodeling Main Street into something completely different. The last I heard, they were even mentioning that they might remove the Hall of Presidents.

Meanwhile, Disney has all this unused land (part of their property). Couldn’t they build using some of that? Same with that oversized parking lot in the back of the parks that no one uses. That’s right. They would rather spend half a billion dollars on Snow Woke, rather than use that money to construct without replacing.

At least Disney isn’t erasing America because they forgot that Disney fans with money aren’t thirteen year-old girls; but the Disney fan parents & grandparents that take the kids there.

Won’t those children wonder why it’s different than the history they were taught in schools? Oh. I forgot about Trump’s team & MAGA removing education. I guess those kids won’t learn American history.

It’s better to not learn from history. Otherwise, how will we be able to repeat the bad stuff from it? How will we go back to the nineteenth century, if we don’t get rid of the stuff that — although bad — shaped how we progressed into the twenty-first century?

I know many considered Pride. I hate how DeSantis wants to remove them. I also hate how Iger wants to erase history…in order to cater to the uneducated who tell him what to do through social media.

Kids aren’t learning about America now, other than woke racist garbage. Trump’s new education plan will change that to learning about and respecting America. Not having America talked down on by a bunch of Commie scumbag genderless “educators” and their rainbow bs.

You started out so well. I guess TDS is just too irresistible. But, yes. The whole purpose of WDW was basically unlimited room for expansion. Go figure.

Time for Disney to make good on their threat to move Disney World out of Florida and to someplace more business friendly. I wonder if East Texas and South Carolina are still offering all those incentives?

Probably won’t happen. I hear that’s the real reason they got rid of the last CEO.

Florida is one of the most business friendly places. So what you are looking for is somewhere where regulations and construction concerns can be ignored – environmental rules as well. Funny I thought the left was all in on that? Guess when it gives you a irrational reason to crap on a Republican everything changes. Typical leftist – situations beliefs

      1. Donald Task

The Left only cares about those things when it benefits THEM and their crazy IDEALS, not when it actually matters.

        Yep

Disney World is not leaving Florida.

  4. Disney will NEVER move out of Florida. EVER. The parks are here to stay. The one who has to go is DeSantis. He has to leave the company alone and not meddle in things that are not his business, besides he’s going to work for Trump in the White House.

    1. Danny O.

“he’s going to work for Trump in the White House.”

      Let’s see… Taking a look at Trump’s picks:

      1) Must be Republican (bonus if MAGA). DeSantis IS Republican. He also has lots of MAGA qualities (such as anti-Pride). Therefore…check.

      2) Must be white. DeSantis is. Check.

      3) Must be male (unless it’s someone Trump would sleep with). DeSantis is male. Check.

      4) Most should be on a certain “offenders” list. I haven’t heard anything about DeSantis in any cases involving that.

      5) No qualifications for the chosen government position. DeSantis IS the governor. I guess there’s no check for this one.

      6) Red state is a bonus. Florida is red. Check.

I guess since he fits most of those requirements…

7). You, moving to a blue state or maybe you’re already in a blue state and that’s why youre in such a bad mode

        1. Donald Task

There are no “Blue States” just woke Blue Cities.

          1. nt

All of which bog down their states’ economies. That’s what klepto-dem cities do.

  5. Steve

The Rivers of America and Tom Sawyer Island are never closing. It’s a hoax and Disney has no right to remove them. I can confirm that they’re still there for the 75th in 2046. Time travel is real.

  6. Bruce

Republicans are so petty and bad at their jobs.

    1. Walt

as a demoncrat you would probably know

  7. LT

This is God trying to tell Disney to put cars in Hollywood Studios BECAUSE THAT THE MOVIE PARK! You know ; THE PARK THAT ALREADY HAS “CARS STUFF” IN IT.
GEESH !!! I’m exhausted from yelling this 😡

We’re is DeSantis in the article?

  10. ROGER D STEVENS

I hope they never get a permit to change

  11. nt

Disregard the invalid opinions of TDS types. They see a name of any Republican and have tantrums.

They don’t understand anything, much less development permits in Florida and environmental protection.

This article is a TOTAL suck up. Most fans DO NOT want Rivers of America destroyed. A new Villains park BEHIND Big Thunder Mountain is a descent idea, but destroying the beautiful Rivers of America area to put in an EYESORE monstrosity dedicated to CARS?! Horrible, pathetic and downright stupid. Especially when you can redo the Auto ride next to Tron in Tomorrowland (which is an area that is ALREADY optically chaotic and bland) and it won’t change the flow of the park. RIGHT NOW I am ROOTING for the state of Florida to continue to NIX this crappy idea until Disney makes an actual WISE decision (something lately they are totally incapable of doing) and changes this catastrophic plan!

I think this thread is amusing:

Disney fans arguing for the protection of why Walt created his parks in the first place. Disney fans that feel Iger is making all the wrong decisions (removing disability rights, removing history from the parks, and making everything cost thousands of dollars).

And then you have MAGA — who I guess don’t realize that Disney fans (and most of Disney) are AGAINST “rich, heterosexual, Christian, white male supremacy” way of life. They agree that history should be erased…except for the parts that fit their agenda. And when someone states otherwise, they throw a fit and attack the person.

I wonder how many MAGA will have hurt feelings — blasting all their hatred towards me. They don’t know my skin tone. They don’t know my gender (although, they can guess). They don’t know if I’m Pride or not. They don’t even know my political affiliation (nor my religion), come to think of it. All they know is that I said something they don’t like.
