Daughters day is 31st. Never had real day party because everyone has plans. Usually go from 29th – 3rd. On the 31st we do something non park related. The nighttime boat ride for fireworks was a great one. Anywho,29th & 30th and 1st are never busy. We didn’t go this bday. We went earlier this year. It was okay. When it was downtown Disney it was nice. Now its Disney Springs, bad layout. Always packed. Tried 2 times. Not my thing. Not worth if for cripples.
Again with the lies!! I was there yesterday and it was actually quite nice plenty of parking spaces I have seen way worse . Itm needs to stop with these bull stories out and out straight up lies . You all should be ashamed of yourself you call yourself a journalist??
Yes. Disney is packed. It is between Christmas and New Years 2024 and a weekend. Put on your walkin shoes. Put on your patience hat. Buses are packed. Monorail is insane. Boats are full. You can always just stay home.
As a retired Cast Member, who has been both a guest and a worker during this time of year, I have always encouraged family and friends that Dec 30 – January 1st to make reservations for where they want to visit. It is generally very crowded and people’s tempers are right near the surface. Favorite memory from my 33 years there, the ringing in of the year 2000. The people at Epcot were enjoying the music and the fireworks were spectacular. Meet some new friends that are still in my life today from England. Some of the bad memories were from working on the turn-around crew when the parks were at maximum capacity and it was only 10:00 in the morning.
On Christmas Day bought movie tickets to see 7:00 pm BabyGirl at AMC Disney Springs. We had 45 minutes to drive over from Rosen Inn Xmas Buffet dinner. GPS showed a 20 minute drive, ETA 6:45.
Once we got into the lanes to head into the Disney Springs parking garages, we hit a wall of traffic…then saw on the big electronic signs for the Lime and Orange garages “FULL” and no way to get out of the lane back into street. The long line of cars just drove into the garage top level. We were stuck in there for 40 minutes because cars were waiting for spaces to open up. What a mess. We missed the movie I purchased tickets. AMC guest services were understanding and offered to process a refund or choose another movie at a later time. We chose to get tickets for 9:00 pm movie, A complete Unknown” Excellent movie.
We strolled around Disney Springs and enjoyed a performance of artist playing an electric harp.
Never ever experienced completely full garages at Disney Springs and the hordes of people.
They weren’t trapped or locked in. They had to wait in a line. Given the time of year and the potential security vulnerabilities this seems reasonable.
If you don’t want a line Disney probably isn’t your best choice
Plain and simple. The magic is gone. Disney will never be the same and will eventually shut down. People are tired of paying $160 for the entrance into a park that is nothing but t-shirt stores, mouse ears, and outrageously price nasty foods.
