All a hoax. No permit was issued and Disney has no legal right to remove the Rivers of America. The Rivers of America are NEVER closing and no Cars Land is ever coming to the Magic Kingdom. Disney management would go to prison if it tried to remove the Rivers. The end of Pixar in the parks is nigh due to Disney being trustbusted and losing all its acquisitions.
Why do you think they have no legal right to demolish Rivers of America? They own it and it’s private property. Disney can do whatever they want to that part of the park.
It’s not Disney’s property at all. It’s the United States government’s. The government has every right to not only tell Disney how to do its job, but take over the company putting the White House in charge of Disney. Disney cannot do what it wants at all.
I rode the cars ride in California, it was pretty yawn. Tom Sawyer Island was always one of my favorite parts of Disney World, and my kids played there for hours on our visit earlier this month. Disney’s current management is just so… Tacky.
Sounds like you experienced a completely different ride than I did, because I found the Cars attraction in California to be among the most exciting and innovative E-Ticket attractions at their California resort. If, by “cars ride”, you were inadvertently referring to the Tomorrowland Autopia, then I’d absolutely agree – total yawn-fest.
