It is amazing to me That after spending To buy tickets to enter the park That a family of four will crank out another $1,600 to skip the lines on rides that quite frankly are mediocre at best! With few true today quality rides.
This is yet another reason we no longer spend our money at disney.
The loss of the fast passes means as a family with a disability we now have to apply for the DAS pass to ensure we can ride a few rides.
Prior to this we could manage with the fast passes. Now they are chargeable via the Lightening Lane system it’s no longer the even playing field instead it’s only those with the mega bucks that are worthy of the Disney magic.
Yes, we can use the DAS pass and have the same experience in terms of rides but the fast passes were a true level playing field.
The number of applications for DAS have gone through the roof because all those families that managed before have the option of paying a fortune to get into the park but not ride because of the queues.
As sad as I am bout it, I don’t know if we’ll ever go again.
I highly doubt that this will ever change. As long as there are people that are rich and can spend $500.00’s or more for the Lightning Lane then Disney is going to keep charging. I wouldn’t be too surprised that one day (who know if/when this will happen) that they’ll start charging $500.00’s just for the normal Lightning Lane and over $700.00’s for the primer pass one. I hope that this doesn’t happen but, I wouldn’t be too surprised that it does. They’re pricing out the true Disney World fans and one day only the millionaires and celebrities will be the only ones that can afford WDW.
