So, to be clear, DeSantis refused a phone call from the second-in-command, but accepted one from a woke octogenarian with failing cognitive capacities who has the power to manufacture storms that affect only red states. DeSantis is my governor and he has proven that he has everything ready. He has been speaking and holding live briefings several times a day. He has an amazing team that has equipment and 100s of miles of barricades to help protect hospitals, electrical power stations and other extremely important infrastructure from flooding. They used it around a hospital in the Bend region to keep the hospital safe from flooding. It worked! The company that has this barrier is placing them around area tjst need to be protected from flooding. Electrical power stations are one they have placed this barrier around. DeSantis has no time to play the political game with Kamala. She is not the president and has not been given the authority to act as president.

Kamala is not trying to act as president. As a VP, she can show the same support in times of trouble, and a phone call serves that purpose, even if they disagree with each other on policy.
