This is a great question and a tricky one to answer too. I agree that Disney should be a bit stricter with the phones on the rides issue. They should make it harder for anyone to take any pics that use the flash stuff. This can be dangerous for some Disney guests. I have friends that have epilepsy. Any stop light and certain amount of flash can cause an epileptic attack. 2ndly, the flash can bother peoples eyes and distract them from seeing the animatronic on the rides well. 3rdly, talking on the phone is so freaking annoying to hear while you’re on the ride. It can distract people from enjoying/hearing what the narrators on the rides are saying. 4th, it’s just dangerous to be filing using your phone while going on certain rides. Imagine going on Rocking Roller Coster using your cell phone as the ride vehicle goes upside down. You’ll drop your phone and it’ll brake. 5th, what if you’re filming and someone starts cussing like crazy. Do you want to show your friends and family a video of you on The Jungle Cruise and some random person says the f word? Seriously…. 6th, there could be a celebrity on the ride with you that doesn’t appreciate you making a video about the ride while they’re on it. Lastly, how the hell are you going to really enjoy/appreciate the ride if you’re focusing on making a video with your phone? Think about it. At the same time though, I can understand why people are making videos of the rides using their phone. To have a memory about their time on the ride, to show their friends and family a video about how much fun hey had on that ride, to post it on social media so that others can have s clue about what they’re going to be experiencing on the ride, ect. So, again, I understand both sides of this argument. I like to film stuff using my cell phone but, you wouldn’t catch me filming a video with my cell phone as I’m on the ride Expedition Everest. I would prefer to hold on tight to the hand rail in front of where I’m sitting then film it. That’s just me though.
