Fears for Safety of Disney Guests Rise After Startling Situation at Park Gate

Comments for Fears for Safety of Disney Guests Rise After Startling Situation at Park Gate

A lively scene unfolds in front of a well-lit, two-story brick building at dusk in a Disney theme park. The building features many windows and ornate detailing. People are walking and gathered around, with a character performer on the steps and several others interacting with guests.

The interaction is one thing. But the keys? There are so many things now that look like one thing but are something else. Possibly something on they key ring they might have thought could be a knife or extendable baton? Nobody enjoys going through security check points. I lost a pocket knife once because I forgot I had it on a trip to Geeat America and wasn’t going to walk it all the way back to the parking lot.

Probably because Harbor Freight, for ex., sells a key with a hidden folding knife blade inside!
      Real smart of them.

You think this is troubling. Go to a government building or other situation where aggressive security is anticipated, and check out how many police/security officers are glued their cell phones. I saw a bike officer in Baltimore reading his cell phone while driving his bike. The trick for a terrorist or active shooter would be to find a checkpoint with the officer glued to their phone, walk up and cap the officer, and then rush the gate or have their congregates rush the gate. Those security breach situations are not hard to find. Check it out next time you encounter a situation where aggressive security and their are multiple entries points. Security personnel are disproportionately glued to their cellphones! And quite frankly, the official police are the worst offenders!

Everyone n every bag should be passed through a metal detector….seems to appear that getting a weapon through security into the parks would nit be that difficult as every person is not scanned.
