Why would you cast the Evil Queen with a woman 5 times more attractive than the person you casted as Snow White? Her and the Magic Mirror must laugh at the fairest of them all line.

    1. Aunt Polly

Maybe because the Evil Queen doesn’t come by her beauty naturally and has to resort to magic spells to look like Gal Gadot.

      1. Rachel

in the original tale The Queen was deemed the most beautiful woman ever but that was just skin deep, supericial… snow white was not just equal or superior in that regard when she grew up but she was also a beautiful soul… and that made her flew over the Queen.

So yes, there is a significant beautiful soul over a horrible one theme there BUT the beauty of the Queen is a very strong point to stablish why she was so arrogant and narcissistic about her looks thinking that was all that mattered.

Disney is disregarding this completely and hammers the proverbial nail in the coffin by removing the description that gives the title character her name, description and the name of the book: Snow White.

Zegler is beautiful, yes… but come on! lets be real here! against Gal Gadot??? and being Brown? (I’m brown BTW before you make any conclusions) just for the sake of filling a check in the woke brigade requirements?

Besides… just watching her in her real life interactions denote a terrible soul that would match more that of the evil queen than snow white… she is an arrogant, narcissistic little brat and I will never support any production that has her in because of it.

I don’t have an issue with any of this. Since it’s an updated and modernized adaptation, they can come up with any reason they want for calling her Snow White. Perhaps it’s a reference to the purity of her soul. Whatever. It’s not impacting my life directly, because it’s merely a movie, and the original Disney film isn’t being replaced or changed, so it’s always there for people who prefer that version.

You don’t even know the story? LOL Duhhhhhhhhmb

  2. Cheryl C

I will stare at a blank screen before I see this movie! Between Rachel Zegler and CGI dwarves I’m 100% uninterested and even less impressed

    1. Wokey Dwarf

You have a lot of downtime in your life to stare at blank screens. How nice for you.

      1. jim dean

why so mad does cheryl c’s opinion hwrt your fewins?

        1. Wokey Dwarf

That’s adorable. Sharing opinions is the point of a comment thread, so I’m just as free as Cheryl C to share my own. Why so quick to jump in, jimmy darling? Did my comment hurt YOUR “feewins”? Here’s a thought: Try to make yourself at least SEEM smarter by typing like an adult who understands what capital letters and periods are. If you wanna play in my sandbox, you need to bring your A game, little boy.

Would you like some cheese with your whine?

Disney needs successful movies, but not constant re-hashes of older IP’s that consistently detract from the original movies. In trying to appeal to a minority of intersectional filmgoers they are disenfranchising their core fan base.

  4. Warren

I’ve said it so many times. Make projects that appeal to a slice of the fanbase get a slice of the profits pie. Make projects for everyone get everyone’s $. It’s not hate it’s economics. It’s y star wars is failing as well. Kathleen Kennedy n her ilk has to go.

  5. Ken

Walt Disney must be rolling over in his grave to see how upper management has desecrated his legacy to please the woke community at the expense of losing Disney life long fans

  6. Gina LoBiondo

I seriously hope they really cancel this movie. From what I’ve seen and heard about this remake, I won’t be watching. Same as that version of Cinderella that came out a few years ago where she didn’t need the Prince and wanted to start a clothing line from her stepmother’s basement! Seriously?! No thanks!

    1. Aunt Polly

I get it. So many women cannot survive in life without men to rescue them, and you can obviously relate to this. It’s time that we realized that women like us don’t have the self-empowered agency we WISH we had, so fantasies about love’s first kiss from a male savior are still compelling even today. The idea of women making our own way without men is absurd and movies need to keep reflecting that reality.

      1. sam

        someone needs to rescue you.

      2. Rachel

I agree with you, I do. Not a rescuer per se but a man that complements me, that does those things more in line with him while I do those more in line to me and between the two moving forward in life complementing each other.

Love’s first kiss beating the evil spell is a reflection of Love beating Hate, something we have clearly forgotten as a society these days where Bigotry and selfishness reigns supreme.

I REQUIRE my love at first sight, everyday… and I require my prince to rescue me as much as he needs me to rescue him whenever we need it.

        1. Aunt Polly

Your description of a modern, healthy relationship sounds remarkably like something that Rachel Zegler would agree with and support.

I watched the trailer. I dislike “woke” nonsense, but I’m not seeing it in the trailer. I don’t get what’s the big deal about the dwarfs being cgi – unless the cgi is terrible. Use of CGI seems like just an artistic choice. Now – if Disney did indeed get rid of the whole point of the story – that love’s kiss is more powerful than the evil queen’s magic, because, you know, you can’t have a woman rescued by a ma-a-a-an, well, yes, that would be woke and a great reason to not see the movie. How do we know that this is actually the movie is? I didn’t see that, one way or the other, in the trailer.

    1. Rachel

the CGI Is terrible… at least to me.

and the wokeness is being deliberately being kept away from the trailer but its there:

Brown skinned “snow white” actress (I’m brown myself -latin american- and trust me.. she is…) becoming an empowered “I need no prince to rescue me” Girl Boss…

No prince and now he’s a regular Villager Joe…

Why make Snow White if they’re not going to make Snow White??

      It’s absurd in my opinion…

    2. RickTR

You did see “Snow White” bossing the dwarfs around to clean up their house instead of her and the animals cleaning in the original movie? A girl boss who wants to stay in their cottage but is too good to clean.

  8. Because the star already said it isn’t in the movie and is an outdated idea.

  9. “Skin as white as snow” does not describe Rachel Z. Try casting Miley Cyrus as Rosa Parks in a biopic and see what happens.

    1. Aunt Polly

Rosa Parks is a real person. Snow White isn’t. Let’s get a grip and not wring our hands so much over a fictional character.

      1. nope

T’Challa from the Marvel movies is also completely fictional, but toss Channing Tatum in the role and see what happens.

        1. Rachel

          i agree completely!

It’s not about a real or a fictional character… it’s about that Nefarious and completely racist (anti white) practice of removing an established character’s ethnics or race to install another one to “please” a checkbox…

I am brown (not really but I’m latin american which pretty much deems me “brown skin”) and I abhor any type of racism… including “Anti-white” racism disguised as “Political correction”… you know… that thing they call “Woke”.

          1. Lily White

Speaking as a white person myself, I don’t feel the least bit resentful about a person of color playing a formerly white character. For some reason, some white people take this personally and believe it’s racist or anti-white, but I never had a reason to feel offended by it or to feel like my culture is being appropriated or denigrated. If “inclusiveness” is the current trend, then so be it. Hollywood is gonna do Hollywood, and I’ll still survive and get by either way.

        2. Aunt Polly

More importantly, how does it impact your life directly? It’s just a movie ultimately.

  10. Disney’s goal is promoting Cultural Marxism and attacking traditional family values. Disney does not care about ratings or profits.

  11. Jimmy

Disney should release the original Snow White over the Thanksgiving and Christmas holiday season. I bet they’d take in multi-millions, if not a billion. Whatever amount they do make will be all profit.

  12. Binoi

I think most of the hate is directed towards Zegler. She just has a big mouth and keeps spouting a lot of nonsense that are triggering a lot of people. In the future, whoever hires this girl need to add a clause to keep her mouth shut till the movie is released. Just my 2 cents in the matter. Anyways, I’m an adult now and has grown past the Disney stuff so no plans to watch this movie at all.

  13. Chris Nielson

They should cancel this dumpster fire, Snow White looks more like Michael Jackson in drag!
