Even well-heeled people, though they can afford the prices, are unhappy with the quality. Disney has gotten somewhat full of themselves. My son is a DVC member and he’s fed up with the prices. I’m going in October but only because my son is sharing his points with me. I truly think before long Disney will be empty. I’ll go to Speedway to get my liquor and some of my food. I’m not paying Disney prices for what you get. I go to the Food Fest every year. This will probably be my last. No longer getting an annual pass. They’ve made that pretty difficult too. They’ve turned into every other GREEDY corporation.
I used to enjoy an annual trip to Disneyland and an occasional trip to Disney World, and I am 58 years old now. I took my children, niece and nephews, and grandchildren, and other times took adult trips with no kids. I haven’t been since 2021, and don’t know when I might go back. Prices are too high, the reservation system stinks, and I absolutely hate all of the extra charges to get on the higher demand rides. Our last trip was not very good and way too expensive. Too much corporate greed is making it unaffordable for most people to enjoy,. It makes me very sad.
“Italian nachos” do not exist ( I am Italian). However, could Disney think of passes for lower income families? Maybe in some calendar date which is not too punishing. Or some form of lottery (Wimbledon style), or, again as in Wimbledon: you must come and get your low price tickets in person (no online sales).
I used to go to Disney World every year. Haven’t been there since 2000. Simply can’t afford it. Disney has become way too overpriced for the average person. Also, the whole reservation system, as well as genie+ just suck. Bring back the free fast pass! I shouldn’t have to pay extra to get onto rides if I’ve already paid an exuberant amount for a park ticket! I also shouldn’t have to be staring at my phone my entire trip. I personally like to be unplugged when on vacation.
Man, maybe if some of you worked as hard as you complain I bet you could afford to do the things you want. News flash, everything is more expensive, if you’re going to complain be holistic in your complaining.

Absolutely, they are so over priced that middle and lower class people can’t afford to go to Disney.

I was watching a live stream on Labor Day and Magic Kingdom was packed even with rain in the AM.
