Virtual cues only benefit WDW to create a larger demand for attractions. Then they use it to set the cost for bypassing the lines.
It is no longer about the family and a day of doing something together. The only focus is CEO and CFO bonus in their pockets.
The virtual queues obviously are intended to throttle the guests coming into an attraction and make money on the issue. Disney used to be good at handling lines and queues before they tried to turn everything into a data numbers game. Now they look at numbers of guests l, guests per hour etc… and it all says to them, “keep the queue and charge $”. No one is on the “floor” looking at the attractions and getting a feel for how it’s operating and how the queues are processing.
