There are now millions of families that cannot afford to go because of the high expense & Disney is complaining about the families Disney’s priority’s are all wrong !

    1. Kyle

Don’t think it’s a complaint so much as a matter of fact…people need to calm down

    2. Edel

You are so right! I live within 20 minutes and have not gone in years because of the rising prices!
Do not blame low income people for lack of attendance, blame Disney who does nothing to keep prices reasonable.

  2. Cindy

I believe Disney had lost its way. Walt never wanted the parks to be so expensive that families wouldn’t be able to experience them.
It’s quite simple really, lower the costs on everything and really listen to some of the complaints being made. Then, I really believe attendance will be greater than ever!

    1. Kat

      Exactly true!

      1. MT

Disney lost me years ago. It’s the fault of poor people? Try gullible people. Try top management get bonus checks and they won’t be huge now. There’s no nostalgia left. Fighting, waiting in lines half the time you’re there. Universal is so much better. I can’t wait for them to leave Florida. I remember the free entertainment they used to have….. when they cared . A family of four will pay a good thousand or more just to say they went. We got a three day pass lat time we went. Didn’t even go the third day it was that bad.

        1. Bob K.

MT , your right top Management with there 10 Millions dollars or more bonus got very greedy and the gust that coming to Disney pay for it. If you go back 5 years or so the price of 1 day ticket was under $100 per day with a alot of benefits that was free. That make it worth while for any body to go to Disney. Look at the Resort how much they went up over 5 years, even the price of the Mug you get at the Resort went to $ 19.99 to 23.00 and no Magical Express or free Magic Bands. Boy someone getting greedy at Disney.

    2. judith fantozzi

I agree ! Disney has gotten out of control with their prices. If all of the higher ups would stop taking millions in their pockets maybe they wouldn’t have to keep raising the prices so we could afford to keep going.

  3. Amanda

We are local and really wanted to take our kids to the Christmas party this year. It was cheaper for us to stay in a hotel for 2 days. Let them swim. We can still enjoy the decor of the parks. The party was going to cost us way over 1,000 just for a parade and some cookies mostly. I’ve done it once and it’s nice but not 1k nice.

  4. Your Dad

Disney is neglecting the fact that the reason attendance is down is because they are still being boycotted in USA. Disney fails to realize they pissed off millions of American citizens when they opened their mouth about politics & started producing woke trash.

    1. Jeff

They also have to remember the cost for Americans has gone up with the current inflation to our economy thanks to dumb politicians we have in charge.

      1. Nah Shis

Inflation is global and far LOWER in the US than in all other countries. Blaming or crediting our current leaders is not a valid argument or excuse.

        1. sam

but when something good happens while your preferred elected official is in office, it’s all because of them.

selective nihilism isn’t cool, either be a full nihilist, or not.

    2. Johnno

Virtually no one is boycotting Disney. The “boycott” is just your excuse to your kids because you don’t want to tell them you are too cheap to pay for a trip.

      1. Jamie

No it’s a boycott. Too expensive, no perks anymore, & the CEO never listens to the true fan base. Plus, their movies now just add things kids don’t need to see or be aww we are of now. They lost the child innocence factor.

        1. Nah Shis

          The parks argument? Yes.
          The movies argument? No.
Times change, and they change regardless of how much anyone approves or disapproves.

          1. Steve

Times do not change anymore, it’s over. When I take over Disney and make it great again I will be catering to 20th century audiences, deciding what they want and turning the Disney fanbase into clones with the same tastes.

        2. Chuck

$8000 a week for a family of 4. That’s the Economy plan. $15000 a week for more luxury. People are going over seas for a cheaper vacation.

      2. Ohwell

This! Also I live in a conservative area, and the families in my area who complain about everything being “woke” are the main people lining up to give disney their money by taking yearly trips there. Not to mention the Disney plus subscriptions and going to see Disney on ice.

      3. “Too cheap”. WOW.

    3. Nah Shis

We canceled our Disney World trips because of far-right Ron “girly boots’ DeFascist….and because of dimbecile whiners making their entire existence obsessed with what they perceive as wokeism. Go censor some more books or cancel some other Americans whose lifestyles you don’t agree with. We’re OUT.

      1. Warren

Funny how u do the exact same thing n call it progress gtfoh bye

        1. Don

Nobody is banning your bible dude. But you don’t seem to mind if your Orange Cow rewrites a few bits and adds his own books to it.

    4. Kat

      Another great point!

    5. T

Yup agreed I don’t support them anymore #notsorry

    6. Peanut

Totally! You hit the nail on the head!

    7. Don

Ever think that maybe younger parents just aren’t as interested in Disney as previous ages? It was never a cheap vacation, my dad was a preacher and we couldn’t afford to do more than a half a day there when it was rides by tickets. It’s always been a vacation for rich kids and a destination for corporate conventions and sports tournaments, both rich people’s activities. “Going Woke” is no more blasphemous than when they laid off all the 2D animators in the 90s thinking they’d be able to outsource to China, and 3D computer model everything. You just can’t stay out of other peoples business, why can’t you just NOT WATCH what you don’t like, and enjoy what YOU DO LIKE, and accept that you are not everybody. Don’t be a creep, mind your own damn business.

    8. NANA53

I hate that Disney has turned its back on the Disabled. Disney was always accommodating and seemed to care. So very many have now decided Disney is not the place for them. The majority have mentioned they are leaving Dis ey to go to Universak where they can be treated with respect. It seems Universal will have to take reservations and turn many away due to lack of room

  5. Gordon

Somethings, wrong when you have to use a second mortgage, to visit Disney. Shame on Disney greed.
Combine that with your wokeness, time to close.
All good things must come to an end

    1. Don

I feel like you love mother Russia just a bit.

  6. Paully

Just fly to Japan and go to Tokyo Disneyland/DisneySea..
It’s the best Disney Park and much cheaper than Anaheim or Florida..
    And you’re in Tokyo..

  7. Tom Mariner

Yes, partly the costs, but the parks are amazing places that combine innovation with historical memories — some stuff new, much just as we remember it and show to our kids.

But another factor. When you enter Main Street in the Magic Kingdom your kids can no longer delight in the happiest song ever, “Zip a Dee Do Dah” because “activists” convinced Disney management the film “Song of the South” was racist when in fact it is the LEAST racist film ever made.

    1. Chuck

Euro Disney was hell years ago.

  8. Kenneth Meek

Emanuel where’s the “Disney blasts” part because it sounds like you doing all the “BLASTING!”

  9. Such a shame. Cannot believe Disney is that greedy! My family loves Disney World & can’t pay the exteme prices.

  10. Cindy Merrill

There is a way to not only lower costs but also keep Disney’s employees ( cast members) housed: Build a few dorms much the same as “Job Corps” with a central cafeteria & a medical clinic for each facility- visitors will pay a flat rate while employees get room and board free as long as they’re with Disney.

  11. Tina

People stopped going to Disney because of their homosexual agenda. Disney is in denial and would rather blame anything else. This is the truth. Deal with it.

    1. Nah Shis

It’s called inclusion and not an agenda. Stop forcing your heterosexuals’ agenda here, hater.

      1. Warren

Nobits called u think thw fringe few should be aloud to dicate to the many what’s okay. When the F did u people fet deemed the masters of the universe. Gtfoh

      2. Oh really

Inclusion? I call BS. You can’t wave virtue signal flags but include only the wealthy. That is hypocrisy. See through it.

      3. Oh really

Waving virtue signal flags and encouraging bearded men to run around in dresses is not inclusion. Teaching toddlers about cutting off their junk is not inclusion. Blackwashing classics is not inclusion.
Letting kids of all ages just be kids, at prices their families can afford. That is inclusion.

    2. Nah Shis

You’re in denial and would rather blame Disney than anything else. Deal with that.

      1. Gary

Nah Shis I think you are part of Woke and trying to divert attention it is not working! If that is your name I do not know where you come from but go back. Loyal Walt Disney followers are not going to believe you! You will just change log in names & keep at it still will not work!!

  12. T

Lol Disney needs to wake up and smell their own roses Americans are struggling right now we can send billions of dollars overseas but nothing helps the Americans our government Don’t Care about Us my God everything is having a price increase my last electric bill was $795 what I’m going to pay the electric before I think about going to Disney wow Disney grow up please Americans need help especially low income disability Americans I went to Disney twice in my lifetime and I will never go back because of the high prices

    1. Nah Shis

The price of defending global democracies and ensuring peace via our geopolitical alliances has nothing to do with your electric bill or Disney’s incredibly greedy price gouging at every turn. Let’s try to stay topical. Have a nice rest of your day.

We were once a total Disney family who traveled from Charlotte to Florida twice a year to visit WDW. When we moved back to Florida we got WDW APs and went once a month. When the pandemic hit and APs were temporarily unavailable we sadly let then go but with the express desire to get them back as soon as possible. Then we started hearing the stories. So we went to Disney Hollywood Studios Jollywood celebration last year. It was a real eye opener. The park itself was not the WDW that we knew and loved for 30 years of my daughter’s life. The celebration itself was not worth the money and was terribly disappointing. The cast members knew nothing about it, couldn’t point us towards the foods that we had read online were available, and couldn’t even tell us where we could get drinks. Half of the rides were closed when they advertised the celebration as being our chance to ride them without huge lines. Without really talking about it my daughter and I separately decided that was our last trip ever to Disney World. We now have Universal studio passes again and have the best time there. Universal seems much more dedicated to customer service and park enjoyment then Disney does these days. Such a shame.

      ^ THIS ^

  14. Can’t afford to go anymore. My husband and I are now on Social Security so our budget is tight. They should at least have very reduced senior prices for us older people that like to go eat dinner, shop and maybe ride a couple rides for a few hours.

    1. Nah Shis

      Amen to that.

    2. Minpin

Agree 100 percent. Us seniors need a break.

  15. Mateo

This is what Disney was aiming for and now they’re regretting it. Raising the prices until only the rich can afford it is like a snake eating its tail. Let them fall…

    1. Nah Shis

Disney’s shortsightedness on pricing has allowed Universal and others to grow and expand at an amazing rate.

  16. Ed

    I say BOYCOTT Disney.

  17. Kat

If they hadn’t kept hiking their prices up so much (not to mention making annual passes nigh impossible to get a hold of), perhaps more people would go. Between that, monetizing Fast Pass via Genie+, and the general travel costs (plane/car, hotels) it’s just become too cost prohibitive for those of us in lower income brackets no matter how much we might want to go.

My family (partly thanks to my sister) went in October both last year and the year before. We’re usually not so lucky to travel like that. It’s made this year feel much sadder to not go for the holiday festivities, but that’s life.

  18. DISNEY SHOULD GO F#€K ITSELF, GREEDY PRICKS.

  19. Anita Walker

Disney has also been on a boycott list for months now along with Starbucks and McDonald’s…. We don’t don’t play!
Long live the freedom fighters of the world!
Disney is also overrated and definitely over priced!

  20. AnoninCanada

If Disney is looking for a reason park attendance is down, they need to start looking in the mirror.

Chapek started making the parks unaffordable by doing away with the Fast Pass and bringing in Genie+, which is a disgrace. But he is not the only problem, especially since his firing. Iger has continued this trend along with pandering to self righteous activists offended by everything. My last experience with Disney, in 2023, was very disappointing. Genie crashed most of the time and lines were ridiculous. I expect it will be some time before we return, if ever. We will give Universal and Busch Gardens, Sea World and Discovery Cove our business.

Living in Orlando since 1972, and upon hearing years later that Michael Eisner was making 38 million, I decided then at age 12 not to go to Disney.

My mom raised 4 kids on food stamps and minimum wage after my stepfather went to “find himself”. She struggled working for Disney.

  22. Bri

They need to think of ways to bring in families or friends with different incomes. A way they can do this is to offer limited coupons with specific requirements like they already do for locals or california residents. Then expand that by offering discounts to targeted groups this will increase attendance and for those who are able to afford more such as passholders offer limited merchandise to increase sales.

  23. Belle

Maybe more people could go if Disney distributed their billions of dollars in profit instead of lining their pockets with it.

  24. Cheryl C

They price themselves out of reach for half the people in America, and then blame poor people. How about blaming corporate greed? How much does Bob make a year while castmates are homeless? Everything in the park got smaller, yet costs more. I could give you dozens of reasons, and none of them are “poor people”. A family of for can eat all month or spend a day in the park. What do you think the family is going to do?

  25. Cheryl

It’s a combo of all but main thing is price. A friend has kid in band -they go to Disney yearly for the band/cheerleading trips that you fundraise etc. This year they are doing Universal due to cost being more effective/more affordable etc. Disney has become an elitist woke pig that better wake up and smell the coffee cuz Universal is gonna clean its clock right under their noses they keep it up.

  26. Don D.

Has little too do with a weakened economy and more too do with Greed and Gluttony of Disney Corp. You have priced yourself out of reach for the average citizen when a 4 day Disney vacation for 4 people averages $5,000.00 and yet still blame it on outside factors. My son spent a fortune and took his family of 5, (3 kids 12, 9, & 6) for 4 days. The 2 youngest were huge Disney fans. All 3 of the kids were disappointed. Apparently it’s not the magical place they thought it would be.

  27. It’s now changing some much the experience is just isn’t the same, I see a man wearing a princess outfit and so on, I feel its not for me nor my family there are other amusement parks I can enjoy that are not trying to make a statement.
