A pro dancer who became famous from his appearances on the Disney-owned ABC series Dancing With the Stars has been arrested following accusations of violence against his spouse.

A ‘DWTS’ Pro Dancer is Arrested in California
Artem Chigvintsev, 42, was arrested on August 29 in Napa, California, on accusations of corporal injury to his spouse.
He was booked in the Napa County Jail shortly after 10:00 a.m. that morning. He was released later that day after making his $25,000 bail.
“This is a private matter,” said a rep for Garcia, “and Nikki asks for privacy for her and her family at this time.”

Artem Chigvinstev’s Dancing Career
Artem Chigvintsev is a professional dancer best known for his work on Dancing With the Stars (DWTS), where he first joined as a troupe member in 2014 and later became a full-time pro dancer.
Originally from Russia, Chigvintsev’s dancing career took off when he moved to the United States and appeared on the British version of Strictly Come Dancing, winning the competition in 2010. On DWTS, he showcased his talent and won Season 29 with partner Kaitlyn Bristowe.
Known for his passionate performances and technical skills, Chigvintsev has become a fan favorite.
